Understanding bulk water, water vapor, and air transfer, including the
proper installation of windows and exterior doors while maintaining a
water-tight weather resistive barrier. Techniques for correct flashing and
housewrap coordination, from sill pans to self-adhesive membranes and
site-made metal flashings. A review of pre-assembly trim techniques for
window and door trim.

movement from interior floors to exterior trim. Managing bulk water on
roofs and sidewalls: waterproof underlayment, flashing and step flashing
