1. SLR II standing seam
architectural roof system
Combining structural integrity
with aesthetic appeal for a complete
roofing solution. The strong
visual lines and variety of colors
available on the SLR II metal
roof system make it the right
choice for all types of building
solutions. Whether it’s used to
recover asphalt shingles, on slopeenhancing frames or atop an existing
pre-engineered structural system,
you’ll find SLR II is your best choice
for maximum weather protection and
curbside appeal.
2. Re-roofing over shingles
Sub-purlins are attached to the existing
deck or joist, and one or more layers of
blanket insulation are added to increase
energy efficiency. Often in this application,
the SLR II standing seam metal roof system
is selected because of its outstanding
performance combined with lasting beauty.
3. Slope build-up system
Flat roofs often leak. Water cannot drain
quickly and therefore the contents of your
building are at risk. A slope-enhancing steel
framing system engineered to withstand the
toughest building codes can permanently
add slopes up to 30 degrees (7:12) on your
roof, more than enough for most buildings to
quickly shed damaging ponding water. The
system is flexible enough to perform with all
structural metal roof panels and can also
create enough area to add insulation to
significantly increase your building’s
energy efficiency.
4. Re-sloping for water
management and
architectural appeal
Resolving concerns caused
by additions and extensions to
existing buildings is another reason
to use VP systems. Eliminating
interior valley gutters or providing
a more attractive roof line can be
achieved with VP roofing solutions.

assembly and various roof panel
options, VP can provide the total
assembly directly over your existing
roof. This application is more
economical than a slope build-up
system, minimizing leaks without
interruption of your business
workflow. Additional insulation can be
added for increased energy efficiency.
6. Standing seam metal roof
systems
Achieve long-term, low-slope roof solutions
with VP’s SSR or HWR roof systems. Standing
seam metal roofs are ideal for a variety of
industrial and commercial buildings. SSR
and HWR offer industry-leading long-term
warranties. Both options consistently
outperform all other low-slope roof options in
such critical areas as life-cycle costing, annual
maintenance requirements and serviceability.
7. Roof mounted equipment
Roof mounted equipment can often mean
the difference between a roof that is performing
and one that is leaking. Eighty percent of
all roof leaks occur at these locations. VP
uses a custom designed and patented roof
curb to meet the industry’s most stringent
requirements. VP’s Dura-Curb, with interior
flanges, comes in many standard sizes as well
as custom manufactured for all roof openings.
