The festival of Trees has been a
favorite tradition of the residents of the
Treasure valley for 30 years. It has
raised over $7 million to help improve
healthcare in our community.
Every year during Thanksgiving
week, the Boise Centre on the Grove
becomes a wonderland of holiday splendor featuring hundreds of lavishly decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, & other
holiday décor. Hillcrest will be partaking in the festivities on Wednesday, November 27th at 1:00pm. If you would
like to experience some Christmas magic with us please RSVP with Patti at 345

Alzheimer’s Association 2013 Memory Walk
Employees of Hillcrest and their families participated in the 2013 Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk held on October 5th at Julius M. Kleiner Park in Meridian. In addition to participating in the walk the employees secured enough donations to qualify for the “Champion’s Club
level”. Hillcrest also made a separate donation to support the efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association to provide support and research to fight the nation’s sixth leading cause of death.
Special thanks go out to Lauren, Hillcrest’s Business Office Manager, for volunteering to serve as
our Team Captain. Everyone at Hillcrest is excited to participate again next year and welcomes
our residents and families to join us to support this worthy cause.
Greetings to all our Hillcrest Residents, Family, and Friends!
My name is Larry Gilley, and I am the new Executive Director for Hillcrest
Assisted Living. As the new Director, let me first say how exciting it is, to be a
part of the Hillcrest family and a member of the Hillcrest team. I have been
very impressed with all our team members and marvel at how they devote their
time, talent, and energy to serving our residents with dignity and respect. They
truly have our residents’ best interest at heart and genuinely love working at
Hillcrest. For those of you I have not met yet, let me give you a brief introduction. I have been a leader in the healthcare industry for over 15 years and
worked over a decade in the senior services industry. I have managed facilities
with independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. I have also been a practice manager and a patient access system manager
in a hospital setting. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration, with a minor in Gerontology and a Master’s degree in business. I have
also taught healthcare administration classes on a part-time basis, for over seven years, and believe education
helps set clear expectations and raises the standard of care. My family and I have been in the Treasure Valley
for almost five years and we just built a new home in Meridian this past spring. I have five children, three
grown, two living at home and four wonderful grandchildren. My family is very important to me, and any
spare time I have is spent hiking, camping, rappelling, going to movies, or doing just about anything as long
as we are all together. I would love to get to know you all personally, and if you feel the same way, I ask that
you please clear your calendar to attend a “Meet and Greet” event on Thursday November the 7 that 6:30 pm.
It will be a great opportunity for us to get acquainted. We all hope to see you there!
