Why should I do this?
What course is available?
Our on-site educators will also ensure you are
provided with excellent support and guidance
to complete the two year BTEC Level 3 Sports
(Extended Diploma), which can lead onto a
relevant qualification at university or other
exciting opportunities.
The Advanced Football Development Academy
offers youngsters aged 16–18 the opportunity
to work with former Premier League footballers
Muzzy Izzet and Steve Walsh, along with their
highly qualified coaching staff. The former
Leicester City footballers want to provide
youngsters with an opportunity to develop their
football skills and abilities whilst working towards
a BTEC Level 3 Sports (Extended Diploma).

(including Maths and English)
- You will be required to undertake an
assessment to ensure you are working at
level 1 in both English and Maths*

The programme is a unique alternative to a
typical college programme and is fully funded
for anyone aged 16-18. You will be given over 10
hours of football guidance per week by Muzzy
and Steve, along with their highly qualified and
experienced football coaches. The academy will
play competitive football in the English Colleges
Football league on a weekly basis.
With an on-site educator to assist and support
you through your qualification, along with brand
new classroom facilities and an on-site fitness
suite, the Advanced Football Development
Academy is the perfect environment to enhance
your future prospects.
Due to Muzzy’s and Steve’s backgrounds they
have extensive contacts throughout football and
there will be opportunities available to those
learners who show promising potential. We
provide our learners with suitable training and
classroom clothing and our academy is operated
just as a professional club to ensure learners
understand just what is required of them to
become a footballer at a high level.
