Greetings from the 17th Annual ARMCUMS Educational Conference
Committee.
This year's conference is being held in Tucson, Arizona and is hosted by
Pima Community College.
Tucson’s elevation is 2,643 ft above sea level and is situated on an alluvial
plain in the Sonoran desert, surrounded by five minor ranges of mountains.
Tucson is located 118 miles southeast of Phoenix and 60 miles north of
the United States - Mexico border. In 2009, Tucson ranked as the 32nd
largest city and 52nd largest metropolitan area in the United States. A
major city in the Arizona Sun Corridor, with over 750,000 residents, Tucson
is the largest city in southern Arizona, the second largest in the state after
Phoenix. It is also the largest city in the area of the Gadsden Purchase.
The 17th annual conference will be hosted by Pima Community College. The
conference will include educational sessions, vendor exhibits, entrance to
Trail Dust Town, including dinner at Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse on Tuesday
evening, and multiple opportunities for networking with your peers.
When one considers the economic challenges we face in higher education,
this conference will provide more value for your dollar with reasonably
priced lodging and very affordable registration, priced for multiple individuals from the same school to attend. No other conference offers this much
value for your money. This year’s conference offers a fun-filled networking
event at Trail Dust Town, including dinner at Pinnacle Peak—Home of the
World Famous Cowboy Steak. All for the low cost of $179. Wow!!!
The conference will provide participants with the knowledge and information to do more with less. Learn how to add value to your organization
and become more productive. Attend sessions broad enough to cover a
range of subjects, while detailed enough to specifically improve skills and
manage resources, circumstances, and costs.
We look forward to seeing you at the Viscount Suite Hotel in Tucson,
Arizona, in September.
Sincerely,
James Devenney
President, ARMCUMS, Inc.
