MCC's 4th Annual Road trip to Vicksburg has been scheduled for March 17, 2012!
Boy have we got a treat in store for you!! We have been working with three die hard car
guys in the Vicksburg area for us to see their garages for this road trip. These are not your
typical garages as they contain some of the finest vehicles both foreign and domestic. The first
stop will include a hemi powered streetrod, big block Corvette and big block Pontiac along
with several motorcycles. The second stop will include over twenty foreign and domestic cars
including some you may never have heard about...does the name Gordon Keeble or
Armstrong Siddeley ring a bell? We will stop for lunch before heading to the third stop. The
third stop will include a beautiful 1952 Buick Super Estate Wagon and two of the most
outstanding Ferraris you will ever lay your eyes on. We have put together many garage tours
over the years but we must tell you, this will be as good as it gets. Make your plans now
because you won't want to miss this one. We will meet at the Home Depot parking lot in
Madison at 8:30AM on March 17th and caravan to Vicksburg. Complete driving instructions
will be issued the morning of the tour. Hope to see you there. Contact MCC event organizer
Bob Jackman at 601-919-0291 or [email protected]. You'll have a GREAT time!

Mississippi Classic Cruisers is on Facebook!
Mississippi Classic Cruisers has had a Facebook page set up for the club
for the last few months. It is listed as "Mississippi Classic Cruisers". If
you haven‟t been on the page lately, you‟ve been missing out. We‟ve
been dropping secret hints on upcoming shows, new sponsors, and
information on what 2012 is bringing. Have you been missing out? The
page will continuously be updated with new events, photos from cruises
and shows, and member info.
MCC Membership Dues for 2012 are now due and are prorated as follows:
If you joined during the below times, please pay the amount shown:
2004-2010 …………. $25.00
Jan-Feb 2011 ………. $22.00
Mar-Apr 2011 ………$18.00
May-Jun 2011 ………$12.00
Jul-Sep 2011 ………..$ 8.00
Oct-Dec 2011 ……… Nothing Due
The reason we prorate the dues for those that joined during 2011 is so we can collect from
everyone in January and do not have to spend time collecting for the rest of the year. Payment
as noted above will cover your dues through the end of 2012. Make your check payable to
“Mississippi Classic Cruisers” and mail to P.O. Box 592, Madison, MS 39130. If you have
questions about your dues, please contact Tammy Thompson at [email protected].
MCC's Annual Garage Tour has been scheduled for May 26th, 2012!
The Annual MCC Garage Tour will take place on May 26, 2012. The group will travel first to
Bill Price's place located east of Crystal Springs, a very pretty drive through the country. MCC
member Bill Price has recently built a 3,000 square foot garage at his home. This nice shop
houses Bill's collection of classic automobiles which includes two 1967 Chevelle Malibus, a
1967 Chevelle Super Sport, three '67 Chevelle El Caminos, a pristine 1969 Chevelle Super
Sport, and a restored 1955 Chevy pickup. Bill also has some classic Honda motorcycles.
We then will travel to Pearl to visit the „The Wicked Rod Shop‟. MCC sponsor/member Ware
Hodo owns „The Wicked Rod Shop‟ and specializes in custom fabrication including
fabrication of frames, roll cages, headers, floor pans, custom gas tanks and bumpers. They
also do disc brake conversions, suspension fabrication, and custom engine work.
We then will travel not a far distance to the shop of MCC member Eric Knight. Eric's 4,000
sqft shop is a working shop that has much equipment to aid in the building and maintenance of
his hot rod car collection. He currently has four cars in various stages of completion including
two 1937 Fords, a 1932 Ford Vicky, and a 1939 Chevrolet convertible. We will provide a
catered meal at Eric's shop to end the Tour.
MCC Member Gene Delcomyn Wins CASI Cup in New Orleans, LA
Gene Delcomyn recently showed his 1963 Chevrolet
Corvette split window coupe at the World of Wheels
show in New Orleans, LA. Gene did very well and
won the prestigious CASI Cup (judges‟ choice).

Gulf Coast Motorsports Magazine Joins MCC!
We are pleased to advise that Gulf Coast
Motorsports Magazine has just joined MCC as one of our most recent club sponsors! Gulf
Coast Motorsports is based in Gulfport and is very active in all phases of the car enthusiast
hobby. They have a very sizable circulation and distribute their great publication in
several states. In their monthly publication you will find interesting stories about local car
enthusiasts, all kinds of information about car show events in Mississippi and surrounding
states, several pages dedicated to FOR SALE items including classic cars, parts and services
and, yes, you often times find pictures of pretty girls. After all, pretty girls and hot rods just
seem to go together! The Editor, Mr. Jimbo Perkins, has been good to MCC and our members
for he will always list our car show events in his magazine and many times he will reproduce
our FOR SALE ads that appear in the MCC newsletters in his magazine, free of charge. Have
you ever gotten a call about an ad that appeared in an MCC newsletter from someone in
Alabama or Louisana? If you have, it was more than likely an ad that Jimbo borrowed
from our newsletter and placed it in his magazine. Now that is a very much appreciated
service. To learn more about Gulf Coast Motorsports Magazine visit their web site at
www.gulfcoastmotorsports.com. Thank you Mr. Jimbo Perkins for your support! Jimbo said
on his joining MCC, “I would like to thank Mississippi Classic Cruisers for adding Gulf
Coast MotorSports to your newsletter. I am happy to be considered a sponsor, not only to
your newsletter, but also to the Annual Scarecrow Cruise & Car Show. It has been and always
will be Gulf Coast MotorSports Magazine‟s goal to get information out to the
car/truck/motorcycle clubs in the Southern States. “Most clubs follow the example of
„helping the community from which they call home‟ – the Mississippi Classic Cruisers is one
of the clubs that sets the bar a little higher. Your work and donations to the local charities have
not gone unnoticed by the car community. I look forward to working with the MS Classic
Cruisers.”
Newsletter Distribution Changes Coming in the Future
Starting with the April 2012 newsletter, members with a valid email address will no longer be
mailed a printed copy of the newsletter. We are changing our distribution policy due to the
ever increasing postage rates from the Postal Service and the time commitment required to
print, fold, label, and mail more and more newsletters every month. Those members without
an email address can still expect to receive the newsletter via the Postal Service every month.
If you would like to provide an email address to MCC for email distribution, please send it to
Tammy Thompson at [email protected]. This change in distribution method will
allow MCC to continue to provide great service and charity to great local organizations in the
future. Thanks for your understanding!
