reflect the highest
standard of excellence.
R
Mr. Burke is recognized across the Corporation for his ability to drive business
growth and innovation, leading enterprise-level growth activities, presenting
innovative techniques at conferences, and partnering with our customers and
suppliers to drive improvement. His efforts in key capture efforts such as FASI,
AMDR, Space Fence, Advanced Programs, and DDG-113 as well as others

Gabrielle A. Collepardi
For outstanding sustainment contributions in support of MS2’s Ballistic Missile
Defense programs.
Ms. Collepardi was vital to Global Sustainment’s support of the 2009 Missile
Defense Agency’s sole source request for proposal and award of follow-on work
for Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense. As co-lead of the Logistics and Sustainment
proposal effort, she flawlessly managed multiple tasks, including the collation of

David C. Kenneweg
For demonstrating a true sense of urgency while providing outstanding security
support to MS2’s international business capture and program teams.
Mr. Gelber’s plan to meet requirements for elevated threat training resulted
in the development of a computer-based training module permitting 21 MS2
travelers to complete critical business travel prior to completing classroom training.
He processed more than 250 MS2 employees’ travel requests to high threat
countries and provided training to more than 150. He developed a process for international traveler safety and security in many countries designated as very high threat
locations. During a critical period of extensive travel, Mr. Gelber oversaw training
of 97 employees in just two days, providing travelers with communication,
evacuation and related plans for emergency services.
Karen M. Johnson
For outstanding leadership in the implementation of Lockheed Martin’s Procure to
Pay across all MS2 sites.
Ms. Johnson applied a disciplined program management approach, engaged as a
proactive collaborative partner with the Corporate and Electronic Systems’ teams and
personally committed to MS2’s success in the Procure to Pay (P2P) initiative. P2P
replaced more than 40 different procurement systems throughout Lockheed Martin
with a common SAP procure to pay application. Ms. Johnson’s personal commitment to the project’s success is evident in her many long hours, significant travel and
leadership style that exemplified Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives with a crossfunctional, cross-business team.
6
For leading his team to deliver the first two EQ-36 radars only 30 months after
contract award.
The leadership Mr. Kenneweg displayed on the EQ-36 contract has shaped the
future by growing the white space market. His dedication proved that MS2’s
approach was sound and the 12 Initial Production systems already in progress
would meet the Army’s requirements. Most importantly, it positioned MS2 to win
additional initial production awards of over $200M in 2009 and 2010 and positioned us well ahead of our competition to win the EQ-36 Full Rate Production
contract this year.
Ellen D. Mitchell
For using her natural qualities as a Full Spectrum leader, along with her extensive
communications knowledge, in special service to two Electronics Systems business
presidents and their teams.
Ms. Mitchell has been described as the “utility communicator” in the Electronic
Systems Business Area in 2009. She acted in two senior leadership positions as a
result of senior leadership’s confidence in her maturity, sound judgment, communications expertise and leadership skills. Not only was Ms. Mitchell able to
oversee ongoing projects at both businesses, but she also successfully initiated
and completed several others. As a Full Spectrum leader, she continues to use the
experience she acquired to further benefit the company as a whole.

competitive barriers have been dropped with the commercial teammates by building trust
and compartmentalizing information.
Anthony M. Rosemarino
For maintaining outstanding government and congressional relationships
Mr. Rosemarino has done a tremendous job liaising with federal, state and local government
officials, Lockheed Martin Washington Operations, executive management, and partners
during a very challenging period. He has successfully maintained federal funding on troubled programs and has supported Washington Operations in lobbying for policy provisions

in developing an innovative MH-60R/S technology upgrade strategy to support Navy needs.
Brian D. Sutterfield
For consistent high performance on enterprise-wide business technology initiatives
advancing strategic programs and pursuits.
After relocating his family to San Diego to take on the CANES Capture Chief Engineer
responsibility, Mr. Sutterfield climbed a fast ramp on requirements, team accomplishments
and direction with limited time prior to RFP release. He infused experienced leadership and
enabled all disciplines of the pursuit team to collaborate on the best solution to affordably

The Ethics in Action award is presented to an individual who demonstrates a commitment to
personal excellence, ethical behavior and integrity.
Patrick J. Carey
For recognizing the need for and establishing the necessary firewall on the
ADIRCM trade study.
Mr. Carey’s customer requested that he perform a trade study to evaluate the
integration impacts associated with products from potential suppliers on the Assault
Directed Infra-Red Counter Measures (ADIRCM) program. He immediately recognized Lockheed Martin Systems Integration – Owego (LMSI-O) would be evaluating
a Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control ADIRCM system at the same time
that LMSI-O would be evaluating ADIRCM systems of several competitors. Mr.
Carey immediately took steps to establish an internal firewall plan to avert another
Lockheed Martin organization from being precluded from bidding on a program due
to an organizational conflict of interest restriction.
Daniel Riola
For leading with the highest standards of integrity with employees and customers.
Mr. Riola exhibited MS2’s commitment to ethical business conduct by recognizing the
need to report a situation that could have had an adverse impact to the SEAWOLF
submarine fleet. His proactive steps helped re-establish the customer’s confidence in
Lockheed Martin’s integrity and validated the reliability of the Lockheed Martin process.

CMMI® Level 5 Team
EQ-36 Integration & Test Team
For preparing MS2 in achieving CMMI® maturity level 5 in its recent appraisal of
the business.
For delivering the first two Non-Recurring Engineering developmental systems to the
customer less than 30 months after contract award.
Achieving CMMI® Level 5 distinguishes MS2 as having a set of robust processes
that are followed - with a sharp focus on continuous improvement using the results
of its measurement program, a discriminator for MS2 as it pursues new business.
CMMI® Level 5 has only been achieved by a small number of business units across
the industry and is a significant accomplishment that reflects many hours of preparation and effort on behalf of the business to demonstrate the full set of practices
defined in the CMMI® model.
The EQ-36 team demonstrated its dedication day in and day out for several months
working tirelessly, not only in Syracuse but also in Yuma. Collaborative teamwork
between Syracuse and Moorestown and between operations and engineering in a true
IPT structure allowed expeditious resolution of issues identified during assembly, integration and testing. This team worked closely with our U.S. Army customer to ensure
the customer was aware of our status, understood the path we were taking to closure
and was supportive of our actions. The team has successfully completed two formal
Software Qualification Tests and Contractor Live Fire Tests and completed turnover of
two systems through the DD-250 process. These successes enabled MS2 to respond
to an Army Operational Needs Statement to deliver these types of radars to solve an

MH-60R Aircraft Production Team
For successfully delivering the first two Non-Recurring Engineering systems in 30 months.
For successfully delivering 18 aircraft of the Multi-Year production contract.
A key element in the success of the EQ-36 program, which successfully delivered
the first two NRE systems in 30 months, has been the utilization of the MS2 “One
Factory” model, for the Non-Recurring Engineering system, as well as the followon Initial Production deliveries. The combined production team’s efforts played a
significant role keeping the program on track and sold in the eyes of the U.S. Army
customer. The team included employees from Akron, Clearwater, Moorestown and
Syracuse working together across the enterprise.
The MH-60R Aircraft Production team worked together to deliver the first 18 aircraft,
six of which had zero discrepancies. They received praise from the customer for their
efforts that enabled and supported the first operational deployment of the MH-60R
aircraft, as well as the first operational deployment of the MH-60R Armed Helicopter.

Po Sheng Contractor Performance
Assessment Reports Team
Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement
Program Block 2 Capture Team
For its outstanding success of installing 27 sites in Taiwan and developing 68 contract
delivery requirement lists on or ahead of schedule.
For outstanding capture of a new franchise business for the MS2 and Radar Systems Line
of Business.
The Po Sheng Hardware Installation Team produced high-quality work within aggressive time constraints to integrate Taiwan’s Army, Navy and Air Force defense platforms,
sensors, vehicles and command centers into a C4ISR system. The team successfully
installed 27 sites in Taiwan, 15 of which were completed ahead of schedule. They
also developed 68 contract delivery requirement list documents, in which 53 delivered
early. The U.S. government was extremely satisfied with the team’s proficient work,
commenting on their proactive, innovative, continuous business and work process
improvements. Each team member has demonstrated strong initiative, dedication and
high attention to detail, which was vital to the team’s success.
Through tireless work, dedication and an attitude that allowed nothing to stand in their way,
the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program capture team overcame tremendous
obstacles. The team worked around the clock to close and ensure that no possible competitive advantage was left out of the MS2 offering. These results were turned into a proposal
the Navy labeled “the most in-depth and comprehensive electronic warfare proposal they had
seen.” By winning this program, MS2 has transitioned from a bit player in surface electronic
warfare to become the Navy’s premier provider of electronic warfare technical solutions.
