W
hen Jimmy Simpson, founder of Num-Ti-Jah Lodge, first came upon Bow Lake in
1898 he described it as one of the most beautiful places he’d ever seen. For more
than a century thousands of guests, visitors and artists have agreed with his words.
Num-Ti-Jah Lodge overlooks one of the most dramatic scenes in the Canadian Rockies. Out of
Bow Lake the mountains rise, steep and rugged. The blue ice of Crowfoot Glacier hangs
suspended over the turquoise waters. To the west, the craggy peaks of the Continental Divide
tower over the immense Bow Glacier.
A legend of Canadian Rocky Mountain hospitality awaits you, in an atmosphere of secluded
tranquility on the shores of beautiful Bow Lake near Lake Louise, Alberta. Steeped in heritage,

provide you with all the information you
need to plan a Rocky Mountain wedding
at Num-Ti-Jah Lodge.
Included you will find a description of our
floor layouts, accommodation, room
rates, our dining room facility, a list of
local wedding suppliers and the terms and
conditions associated with having a
wedding at Num-Ti-Jah Lodge. Sample
menus and wine lists are available on
request as most menus are created to suit
each wedding’s individual needs.

Guest Accommodations
Our beautiful log and stone Lodge has 16 guest rooms that can accommodate up to 52 guests
comfortably. We offer a variety of occupancy options including a choice between a Lake View
and Mountain View room. Each room offers its own unique charm. For the Bride and Groom,
we recommend either Room 8 or 24.
On page 4 and 5 you can see a list of our rooms and their descriptions, so you can create your
own rooming assignments. Once you return the rooming list to us it then becomes up to your
guests to contact us and provide us with their payment details.
In order to provide you with the highest level of service we require that the Lodge is reserved
exclusively for your wedding. This way we can close off the lodge and dining room to all other
potential guests and focus on making your special day truly memorable. All rooms on the day
of your wedding will be blocked off and allocated to your guests. The costs for any rooms not
occupied or being paid for by a wedding guest will remain the responsibility of the Bride and
Groom.

Rates are based on double occupancy. For each additional guest over the
age of 9 there is a $15 (before taxes) per person charge per night.

Elkhorn Dining Room
The Elkhorn Dining Room provides an excellent
setting for your reception. The room offers a
warm, relaxed, friendly atmosphere in a
uniquely
Canadian
Rockies
setting
complimented by many heritage regional
animal mounts and a warm fire in the large
stone fireplace. This room is easily decorated
and set-up to fit the atmosphere of your
wedding, whether you are aiming for extremely
elegant or a more casual family dinner feel.
Menus are generally created to suit you. If you have some ideas as to the menu you desire, our
chefs are ready to create a full menu for your wedding reception specific to the needs of you
and your guests. If you would like some ideas, please ask about our sample menus. These
menus, along with suggestions from our chefs, are sure to get your mouth watering and offer a
great starting point for creating your own wedding menu. Remember to keep any children who
may be coming to your wedding in mind. Typically a separate menu would be created for them
with more kid-friendly food items.
In the past we have worked with menus set-up for four, six
and nine course meals. The six and nine course meals
generally include a reception where your guests will be
served a selection of hot canapés and cold hors d’oeuvres.
After the reception your guests will join us in the Elkhorn
Dining Room for dinner.
The dining room can
accommodate up to 70 guests for dinner service.
Exact numbers of guests for the wedding dinner will be required
no later than 3 weeks before your arrival at the lodge. Along with
this please make sure to inform us of any food allergy concerns
that you are aware of.

Terms & Conditions
A non-refundable initial deposit is required when making your Wedding Booking, along with
the signed Wedding Contract and Booking Agreement (see following page). Your deposit will
be applied to the final invoice. Please sign and return the Wedding Contract and Booking
Agreement upon confirmation of your booking by our wedding coordinator.
50% of the estimated invoice must be paid no later than 90 days before your arrival date.
Confirmation of the final numbers and rooming lists are due no later than 3 weeks before the
arrival date.
Any additional charges due to items missed or added, or damages incurred by the guests, will
be charged to the credit card used to confirm the booking.
Check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. unless otherwise negotiated.
A facility fee will apply to all weddings.
Decorations are permitted upon approval of the lodge management. Animal mounts in the
dining room must not be decorated.
The use of confetti or rice inside or outside the lodge is not permitted as restricted by Banff
National Park regulations. Bubbles are a possible alternative.
A responsible adult must supervise children at all times.
Alcohol purchased outside of the lodge may only be consumed in the privacy of guest rooms
as consumption elsewhere conflicts with our Liquor License. A corkage fee will apply to all
alcohol purchased outside the lodge
Num-Ti-Jah Lodge maintains a strict non-smoking policy and therefore smoking is not
permitted anywhere inside the lodge. Charges will apply to those guests who do not respect
this policy.

Wedding Contract & Booking Agreement

We have read through, understand and agree to the Wedding Terms and Conditions as laid out
in the Wedding Information Booklet provided to us.
We agree to submit a final guest count and rooming list at least 3 weeks before our date of
arrival.
We agree to take responsibility for the actions of our guests and will pay a fee of $60 per hour if
extra cleaning is required, as well as any damages incurred.
We understand that Num-Ti-Jah Lodge will not guarantee exclusive use of any areas of the
lodge unless the entire lodge is booked.
We agree to hold harmless Num-Ti-Jah Lodge in the event of theft, loss, or damage during our
stay and function.
