March, 2014
Dear Saint Peter School Families,
Thank you for your continuous support of Saint Gregory’s Food Pantry. Our most
recent donations were delivered last week by fourth grade parents.
Our next project is to collect donations for Easter. Volunteers at the pantry have
asked that this year we send completed Easter baskets, not items to be made into
Easter baskets as we have done in the past. Putting together the baskets takes more
time and volunteers than are available. If a family would like to donate a completed
basket, this would be most welcome.
We were reminded that nonperishables are always needed. Perhaps this year we
can donate Easter dinner foods or any food items you think will be enjoyed by the
many families receiving help at this time. The need is great and all donations are much
appreciated.
All of our classes will be collecting your donations to be delivered to Saint
Gregory’s. Should your family wish to fill and wrap a basket, it would be gratefully
accepted and delivered with all of our food donations. All donations are due by April 7.
Thank you for your continuous generosity. Your children are learning so much
from you about doing God’s will by helping others. God bless you during this holy
Lenten season.
Sincerely,
Miss Butler

14th Annual Mother/ Son Baseball Outing
Friday, May 9, 2014 7:05pm
Dear Moms,
This is your last chance to join us for our 14th Annual Mother/Son Baseball outing to see the Lakewood
BlueClaws host the Kansas City Royals on Friday, May 9th at 7:05pm. Our outing last year was loads of fun and we had
a great turnout of moms and sons! It was an evening filled with great fun and lasting memories! We hope you’ll join us
again this year for even more fun and entertainment, including fireworks!
We have lots in store, it’s close to home, and the cost to join us is just $44 for you and your son. We have
reserved 100 seats in the picnic area, third base side. There will be plenty of activities, lots of good food, autographs
from the players, and a terrific opportunity to spend quality time with your son at the ballpark.
This is not a fundraising event, just a fun evening at the park with you and your son. The tickets will be sold to
the first 100 people that respond. We expect this to be a terrific turnout, so to be sure you don’t miss out; please send in
your order and payment as quickly as possible.
Many have asked if Dad’s and/or Daughters can share this day with Mom, but please note that their big day is the
Father/Daughter Dance.
Please order your tickets NOW by completing the order form below and returning it to school with your payment no later
than Friday, March 28, 2014. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Caron Keane at
[email protected] or phone 732-892-0541 or Terri Ruchalski at 732-458-1812.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PTA Mother/ Son BlueClaws Trip

minutes before game time and runs 1 hour into the game, for a total of 1 ½ hours). The all-you-can-eat 90-minute buffet
will include BBQ Chicken Breast, Sausage and Peppers, BlueClaws Dogs, Grilled Sirloin Burgers with condiments,
Potato Salad, Pasta Salad, Baked Beans, Potato Chips, Watermelon, Cookies, Soft Drinks and Water. All seats will be
together in the Picnic Area, plus our school will receive recognition on the BlueClaws Electronic Scoreboard. A baseball

Race Day 2014 is almost here and we need volunteers to help keep this critical fundraiser on-track! If you’re
not already planning on running/walking in the race, there are still many ways for you to become involved:
Traffic Management
– Help keep runners “on course” and streets clear of traffic.
Registration Table (Fri 3/28 5-8p & Sat 3/29 8–11a)
– Greet participants as they arrive, help them sign in and distribute tee-shirts.
Hospitality Table
– Distribute water and refreshments to runners.
Mile Markers
– Take a position at Mile #1 or #2 and yell times to passing runners.
Kid’s Races
– Help organize the kids into their race groups, get them to the starting line and
hand out medals as they finish.
These are just a few of the ways you can help. The time commitment is short, and you’ll be doing a world of
good for the students of St. Peter School.
Race Day – Saturday, March 29th
If you’d like to assist us, return this form to John Hewitt (k/o Jordan – Grade 3) as soon as possible or contact
[email protected] for more information.
