Elana MacGilpin and her staff welcomed Canton
Chamber of Commerce to their facility on
Wednesday, September 21st, for the annual
New Member Drive. Formerly the Valley Sports
Center, the Mandell JCC Valley Sports &
Community Center offers a variety of youth and adult sports programs,
leagues, children and preschool enrichment classes, along with Jewish
holiday and cultural events. No membership is required and
their services are open to all.
Nearly 40 Chamber members enjoyed networking with colleagues and
guests. Hors d’oeuvres were catered by Lasalle Market. Hanging Hills
Brewery, located in Hartford near Brainard Airport, provided samples
of six varieties of beer. Two new members were introduced: Monique
Palazzi of Horizon Home Mortgage, and Ron Llewelyn of Ron’s
Automotive. Ron won the new member drawing and received his
choice of $135 ChamberBucks or a Chamber$aver Ad. Guests and
prospective members had the opportunity to meet with current
members and talk about their businesses.
The next Business After Hours will be held at the Roaring Brook Nature
Center on October 19th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. All Canton Chamber of
Commerce members and local non-member businesses are welcome
