- High vertical sidewall, a 6 foot tall person can stand up straight at the sidewall, improving usable space
in the Greenhouse
- We use a 2 5/8” x 1 ¾” Oval galvanized tubing, which adds strength to the structure, making the structure
last longer in wind and under snow, and allows a higher vertical sidewall while still maintaining strength.
- Holes in hoops drilled in specific places to reduce stress points, and increase strength of the structure.
- Purlins are 12’ long bars, designed to increase the lateral strength of the house vs. shorter bars.
- We are known for easy to assemble structures, with assembly drawings included.

A Westland Fabric-Covered Structure is stronger and easier to install than others
on the market, saving you money.
Westland has been developing structures for many years, structures known for their durability
and ease of installation. Westland now has a new structure for storage of your equipment, or
products. Here is how a Westland Structure is the right choice for you.
Hot-Dipped Galvanized Steel and Hardware.
Westland uses black steel to create our arches, doing all of our welding before the galvanizing
process. We then get the individual pieces Hot-Dipped Galvanized to protect them from rust,
covering all the welds as well. Some other manufacturers build their structures out of pregalvanized steel, welding them before delivery with no additional protection. This process is not
as strong, and won’t last as long. Our hardware is also Hot-Dipped Galvanized, increasing the
durability where all the parts come together, an important part in how long your structure will
last.
Separate Base Brackets for easier installation.
Normally an arch is created with a base bracket welded to the arch. During installation, this
would require aligning the arch to the foundation, a difficult prospect due to the weight of the
arch. With ours the base bracket is separate, allowing for an easier installation, reducing the
installation time and reducing your costs.
It is engineered to be as strong, but
easier to install. Another Westland
difference!

than most that will reduce wear on the cover.

¼” galvanized bracing with heavy duty turnbuckles.

structure and durability.
Hot-Dipped Galvanized (HDG) hardware for long-term
durability in adverse conditions.
2” round tubing at the top of the arch.
Westland has designed an arch that will reduce wear on
your cover, making your cover last longer and reducing
your long-term costs. The top chord of the arch is a 2”
round tube, very strong and easy on the fabric that
protects your equipment or products.

A system’s quality is only as good as the installers who put it in. The very nature of a shade/energy
curtain creates a lot of tension, and therefore is prone to failures in the wires, sides and ends, as well
as proper sealing of the systems themselves. Proper installation is essential to creating a good
quality, long lasting system.
System with low maintenance features:
Wider delay block, to reduce broken drive cables by reducing cable wear, saving you costly repairs.
Ultra Slide blocks, to allow nylon support wires to slide through the front profile, reducing chances of
broken wires, saving you costly repairs.
Specially designed drive shaft, designed to avoid broken bolts and shafts by putting torque pressure
on the shaft itself vs. the attaching bolts. This lengthens the life of the structure.
PVC clips on the sidewall drop wires, to reduce damage and increase life of cloth.
Storm wire clips that hold the top nylon storm wires to the truss. Avoids damage to cloth and too
much vertical travel in the system on gutter vented houses.
Clear silicone strips vs. black rubber strips, to reduce overall shade produced by the open package of
the cloth.

Monorail
Monorails are generally quite heavy, and difficult to move. They also tend to be flimsy if your house is too wide. Westland
monorails are different - strong, light and sturdy. These monorails were designed to be 20% lighter and 30% stronger than
other competitive monorails. The arm assemblies are the lightest in the industry, yet support up to 2,000 lbs each.
Several widths are available to fit your house. We can also custom make the arms to fit odd-shaped monorails.

- Cart designed for 1,600 lbs uniformly distributed load.
- 30% stronger and 20% lighter than the competition for easier
movement from house to house.
- Each arm is designed to support 2,000 lbs.
