Here’s a quick lesson on reading the
numbers on your binoculars:
The first number refers to the magnification, or power, of your lenses. Most
birders use an 8 or 10 power binocular.
The second number refers to the
brightness of your lenses. A higher
number gives a brighter, more detailed
image and is better in lower light
conditions. Most birders use between 32
and 42 mm. Come on in and try a few
pairs to see what’s right for you!
