DAY 1/MONDAY: DEPART MIAMI / ARRIVE HAVANA

Morning charter flight from Miami to Havana. Bienvenidos a Havana! Meet your Cuban host and head
directly to the colorful neighborhood of Callejon de Hamel. Here you’ll find brilliant mural paintings, stalls
selling herbs for curing colds and lovesickness alike, and of course, music everywhere. Meet Salvador
Gonzalez Escalona, whose prolific murals adorn the neighborhood. Lunch is in the heart of Old Havana
at Paladar 3 Monedas. Afterwards, stroll the cobblestone streets visiting Plaza de la Catedral, the Plaza
de Armas and the Used Booksellers Market. Dinner tonight at a local Paladar. (L,D)
DAY 2/TUESDAY: HAVANA
PARQUE CENTRAL / MELIA COHIBA

the Cemetery of Columbus and the elegant Miramar area. Attend a briefing at the Cuban Institute of
Cinematographic Art & Industry, dedicated to the improvement of Cuban films and artistic expression.
Have lunch at the famous El Aljibe Restaurant. Travel to the village of Jaimanitas to view the magnificent
works of Jose Rodiguez Fuster. Mr. Fuster ’s art has become a cherished part of Cuban culture, not to
mention a photographer ’s dream come true. (B,L)
DAY 3/WEDNESDAY: HAVANA / FINCA VIGIA / COJIMAR
PARQUE CENTRAL / MELIA COHIBA
Ernest Hemingway lived in Cuba from 1939 to 1960. Visit his mansion, Finca Vigia, where his 9,000-book
library is preserved, as well as his famous fishing boat, Pilar . In the communal District of Alamar on the
outskirts of Havana, you are introduced to the organic community gardens called Organoponicos. Visit
the village of Cojimar, setting for the novel The Old Man and the Sea, and have lunch at Paladar El Ajiaco.
In the afternoon see El Moro fort with its magnificent view of Havana. Afterwards, explore the Museum of
the Revolution. There is time for shopping at the Artisans Market located on the Malecon. (B,L)
DAY 4/THURSDAY: HAVANA FREE DAY

Today is your free day in Havana to indulge in independent exploration of one of the world’s most iconic
and f a s c i n a t i n g c i t i e s . A s H e m i n g w a y o n c e s a i d , “ I l i k e m y D a i q u i r i s a t E l F l o r i d i t a a n d m y M o j i t o s a t
L a B o g e d i t a d e l M e d i o ” - so you may choose to follow the path of the great author! Alternatively, simply
stroll the streets of Havana and meet the friendly locals, always willing and interested to share some of
their lives with you. Tonight cruise along the famous Malecon to your Paladar dinner in one of Cuba’s
plethora of marvelous vintage American cars. You, too, will be part of the rolling museum! (B,D)
DAY 5/FRIDAY: DEPART HAVANA / ARRIVE MIAMI

Payment Schedule:
A deposit of $1000 per person is required at the time of booking. Deposits are payable by personal check,
wire transfer or credit card. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
Rates & Fares:
All rates shown are accurate at the time of publication and are based on foreign
exchange rates subject to change resulting from currency fluctuations.
Refunds & Cancellations:
All cancellations must be in writing. The per person cancellation charges are:
• More than 90 days prior to departure: 50% of deposit
• 89-60 days prior to departure: 100% of deposit
• 59-45 days prior to departure: 30% of tour price
• 44-30 days prior to departure: 50% of tour price
• Less than 30 days prior to departure: 100% of tour price
There is no refund for a partially completed tour or for unused services of any kind. TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
