Foundation Mardi Gras
t Raises $32,000
Chairman’s Corner
As we spring ahead toward the end of another school year,
we are pleased to announce the awarding of $18,000 in
scholarships for students to engage in summer enrichment
programs.
We are grateful to the continuing generosity of Foundation
supporters, for this kindness will provide students who might
not otherwise to be able to do so, the chance to engage
in extended learning activities. Our thanks to the school
and parents who have been strong supporters of and
participants in this Memorial Grant Scholarship program.
(Event Co-Chair, Trustee Cheryl Auchenbach & Captain Jack Sparrow
greet guests at Mardi Gras 2012)
The Foundation hosted its eleventh annual Mardi Gras & Casino event
man Estates. 250 guests
were greeted by “Captain Jack Sparrow” (Impersonator, Rick Aspen)
and enjoyed casino games, dinner and prizes. The electric atmosphere
buzzed throughout the evening with attendees enjoying themselves
while supporting the Foundation’s mission of excellence for all students
in District 54.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all sponsors, donors, guests and
volunteers who enabled the success of this event.
Please see complete list of sponsors, donors and volunteers on page 2.
