Our Board of Education and Church
Council are recommending that we partner
with Rochester Central Lutheran School in
establishing a pre-school here at Redeemer
beginning in September.
BLOOD PRESSURE REMINDER! Blood
pressures will NOT be taken on Easter Sunday.
Nurses will be taking blood pressures again on
Sunday, March 30, from 9 to 10:30 am.
A special voters’ meeting has been set for
Sunday, April 6, at 6:30 pm to consider
this proposal. More details will follow in
the newsletter.
THE NUSERY will be staffed only during the
8:45 am Service on Sunday. However, it will
be open for your use during the other services.

CELEBRATING GOD’S
GRACE CLASS
will begin Wednesday, April 9, at 7:30
pm, in Room 102 and will continue for
10 weeks. This class surveys the
beliefs and practices of the Lutheran
Church. It can prepare a person for
membership or serve as a wonderful
review. If you are interested or have
any questions, please talk to either of
the pastors.
NEW MEMBER SUNDAY
will be April 20. If you are interested in
joining Redeemer, please talk to
Pastor Settle by April 7.

Sunrise service at Mayo Field at
6:30 am. Sometimes it rained,
sometimes it snowed and
sometimes the sun came up and it
was just beautiful.
NEW BIBLE CLASSES

The RCLS girls’ basketball team won
the State Consolation Championship
and have been accepted to the national
tournament at Valparaiso University
in Indiana. To help defray the costs
($7300), the team is selling Bakers
Square pie certificates and Kwik Trip
car washes.
They are also having a
Culvers benefit on Tuesday, March
25 at both Rochester Culvers
locations. A percentage of their sales
from that day will be donated to the
RCLS girls basketball team. For more

athletics is appreciated.
ELDERBERRIES

“The 10 Commandments Today” - Pastor Heining will lead a discussion on the
narrow and broad sense of each commandment, as well as their application to
various contemporary situations. This class will meet in the North Fellowship Hall.
“Heaven and Hell” – What does the Bible have to say about heaven, the ‘new
heavens and new earth’, and hell? Are the images of pitchforks and horns correct
when the devil is described? What can we expect when we enter through the
pearly gates? God’s Word will show us that there is far more incredible and
wonderful things in store for God’s people than floating on clouds and playing
harps! Please join us in the South Fellowship Hall.
“A Case For Christ” will continue with Jim Weispfenning in the Choir Room.

Gum Health
Gum Disease: A Significant Health Risk
Various forms of gum disease affect nearly 75 percent of American adults and many are
unaware of it. This is troubling because there is mounting evidence of the relationship between
oral bacteria and life-threatening diseases such as heart disease, oral cancer, respiratory
ailments, diabetes, and premature low-birth-weight babies. It is a condition that can be
prevented or treated aggressively if already a problem. Taking care of your gums can lead to
not only healthy gums but a healthier you.
Signs and Symptoms of Periodontal (Gum) Disease:
Red, swollen, or tender gums
Bleeding gums while brushing or flossing
Loose or separating teeth
Tooth loss
Pus around the teeth and gums
Pain when chewing
A change in the way your teeth fit together when you bite
A change in the fit of partials or dentures
GAME DAY FOR ALL AGES!

ROLLER SKATING
The Board of Family Life is planning to have its annual
“Roller Skating” in Harmony, on Sunday, April 6, from 2 to 4
pm. We are planning to eat at the Pizza Ranch in Stewartville
after the 10:40 am service on Sunday and then travel to
Harmony for roller skating. There is a sign-up sheet in the
narthex. Cost of roller skating is still being decided ($4 per person?). If you have
April 19 - Servant Event in Rushford! - Last summer’s floods were devastating.
There is still work to be done. Let’s get a great group together and make a difference!
SUMMER SOFTBALL! - Spring and Summer are coming fast and that means
softball! The sign-up sheet is already up for youth softball. Join the team today!
ALUMINUM CANS FOR FLOOD RELIEF! Many of you bring in
aluminum cans for the youth to recycle, this money supports youth
activities. From now until April 6, the youth group would like even
more of you to save cans for flood relief! On April 19 the youth group
will be going over to the areas devastated by the floods last summer
to help. Between this Sunday and April 6, we will be asking for
donations of aluminum cans which we will recycle and use the money to purchase Home
Depot and Menards gift cards to go to the rebuilding effort. Please show your support
and care for this project.
