Login Information: You can access the OCC at occ.ibo.org. Or you can access it from our school website at www.natomasunified.org/nms. From the NMS homepage, click on MYP on the menu bar. Select Teacher Resources and an additional menu bar will appear. Click on the Online Curriculum Centre Login. It will take you directly to the OCC website. This is the OCC’s login screen. Using the username and password I gave you, enter the school code, username, and password on the left-­‐hand side of the screen. Page 1 T. Quinby (8-­‐12-­‐14) Next, you will be prompted to set up your profile. You may change your password and provide the OCC with your preferences. It will create shortcuts for you based on your role, subject area, and interests. This is the MYP home screen. From this screen, you can: • Find general information about MYP • Search for items • Open the latest news and updates for IB and MYP Latest news is listed here. For example, an example of some latest MYP news is Developing and assessing thinking skills. Click on read more and it will lead you to a new page with the relevant information. Page 2 T. Quinby (8-­‐12-­‐14) If you click on the Middle Years Programme on the menu bar, a list of submenus appears including: • All eight subject areas • MYP Coordinator Information • Projects If you select a specific subject area, you have access to: • Subject guides • Sample unit plans • MYP general documents On the left, you will find a menu that includes the Teacher Resource Exchange. Here you can find resources such as documents, plans, website, and texts that other MYP teachers have found useful. Page 3 T. Quinby (8-­‐12-­‐14) You also can access various teacher forums. The forums allow teachers to post questions or discussion topics. Educators from around the world are able to view these forums and respond. Under the Support Areas menu, you can access information for: • Academic honesty • IB continuum • Language and Learning • Librarians • Special education/Inclusion • IB research At the top of the OCC website, you will find links to: • ibo.org o IB’s main website • Blogs • IB store • IB Answers o Pose a question if you cannot find your answer online Page 4 T.
