The 2014 Slobber Knocker Marathon MTB Race is back and better than ever on May 24th! Join Central Arkansas Velo, and DLT Events
for a fun and challenging mountain bike race that will appeal to both veteran mountain bikers as well as roadies who don’t mind
playing in the dirt. There will be two races offered in the event. The 72 mile "Slobber Knocker" Marathon MTB Race which is part of
the Arkansas Mountain Bike Marathon Series and the 40 mile "Short-Course" race. Both races will be held on the same terrain in the
beautiful Ouachita Mountains west of Little Rock, Arkansas near Lake Sylvia.
Course Description: The course is comprised mostly of Forest Service Roads with a small amount of single track and even some road
sections to link it all together (see back of this flyer for map). The start and finish is in Perryville Arkansas and traverses parts of the
beautiful Ouachita National Forest. The staging area is located at Perryville’s Town Square right in front of Perryville’s historic Court
House. There will be well stocked check-points/aid stations and a clearly marked route for even the most cross-eyed of competitors.
Directions: Just 35 miles west of Little Rock, exit off I-430 and take Highway 10 (Cantrell Rd.) West for 25 miles and veer right (North)
at Williams Junction and continue on another 10 miles to the Registration/Rider check-in area at the Perryville Senior High School.
Categories: Categories are used for the sole purpose of tracking results for the Arkansas Mountain Bike Marathon Series for the 72
mile race. There will be no payouts for the short-course event or individual categories in the 75 mile race, except for the single-speed
division. The categories are as follows:
- Men's: 29 & Under / 30-39 / 40-49 / 50-59 / 60+
- Womens: 39 & Under / 40+

Online registration ends Friday, May 23, 2014 at 9:00 AM CT. No refunds. Race entry fee will increase as we
get closer to race day. On-site registration (if not sold-out) and race-packet pickup is on Friday, May 23rd
from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Chainwheel bike shop (10300 North Rodney Parham Road-Little Rock, Arkansas).
Race-packet pickup continues race day morning at Perryville Senior High School from 6:00 to 8:00 am. The
marathon and short-course races stage together at 8:10 am and start at 8:30am. One-day or current USAC
licenses are required. Non-licensed USAC riders can purchase a one-day USAC license at registration. Please
note that the field is limited to 300 riders total. If a given race field is filled upon the closing of online
registration, there will not be any on-site registration for that race.
Awards Ceremony & Lunch: Race results will be posted at approximately 3:30pm after a 15 minute protest
period. Trophies will be awarded to the top finisher in each of the Men's and Women's divisions, winner of
the single-speed division and and winner of the tandem division. Local restaurants will be offering racer
specials to be announced on race day.

General Rules: All 2014 USAC rules are in effect. The Promoter reserves the right to adjust start
times/mileage, cancel/combine events and modify prize lists as necessary. Events will be held rain or shine.
Helmets must be worn on the bike at all times. All numbers supplied by the promoter must be used.
