Letter from the President
I can hardly believe that almost half the
year is already gone! CREW Orlando has
been busy delivering on its promise of
value to our members. We have hosted
relevant lunch programs like how to
survive I-4’s Ultimate improvement
project. We took a peek behind the
curtain at Sensor City and learned how
Central Florida will be the epicenter of the
Christyne ALBURY
2015 CREW Orlando next industrial revolution. We became
more knowledgeable about millennials
President
and how the multi-family market is
responding to their influence. We expanded our professional
connections with our interactive networking in February and
mingled in March with other commercial real estate associations.
We had fun getting reacquainted at our first quarter Members
Only event with a classic dine around in Hannibal Square. The
continuing Market Place luncheon series gave us all a chance to
get smarter with a multitude of interesting topics. Our Future
Leaders held an educational tech event at Canvs and crafted
cocktails at The Woods. I was honored to host a Future Leaders
mentor luncheon and was rewarded by thoughtful feedback and
insightful perspectives from our younger members. I hope you
didn’t miss our exciting 24th Annual CREW Golf Tournament in
support of the Valencia Foundation. The tailgate theme was very
popular. Many of the golfers were inspired and really got into
the spirit! It was a beautiful day and I know that everyone who
attended had a wonderful time. CREW Orlando grows every month
with new members. Our membership is now just shy of 200 and
with each new face, CREW Orlando continues to expand its diverse
experience base of elite and influential commercial real estate
professionals. Please be sure to introduce yourself and welcome
our new members at the next luncheon!
The focus of each and every event is designed to give CREW
Orlando members the opportunity to build their network, foster
business relationships and improve their professional careers. To
every member who serves on a committee - Thank you! It’s your
extraordinary dedication and hard work that makes CREW Orlando
successful in its mission to support its members’ professional goals.
And thank you too to our valued sponsorship partners. With your
support, CREW Orlando will continue to partner with the Central
Florida business community to bring more opportunities for its
members.
As this year unfolds, your Board of Directors is energetically and
creatively working to bring CREW Orlando to the next level. I’m
honored to serve beside them as your 2015 CREW President. I
believe the best is yet to come!

New Member Highlight: Nick Boehme, The Boehme Group
Nick Boehme
How did you hear about CREW Orlando?
While working at CBRE, I was invited to play in
the annual golf tournament about 5 years ago. I
saw many colleagues and trade professionals that
I knew at the tournament and was impressed at
how well organized the event was.
What made you decide to join CREW Orlando?
I started my own commercial real estate construction management
company 6 months ago after working with CBRE for 7 years, where
I was the Director of Project Management, and most recently JLL
for 2 years as the Central Florida Markets lead for the Project and
Development Services Group. Being a small business owner, I wanted
to be selective in joining a trade organization that was effective and
organized. I was invited to the CREW luncheon in February and spoke
to some friends who were existing members and learned more about
the benefits of membership.
10 THE LEAD - Summer
What benefits have you received from being a new member?
The local and national network connections through the CREWBiz™
app and website have been beneficial since my company is working on
projects not just in Florida but also nationwide. In addition, I’ve already
been able to use several crew members in the projects I have managed
for my client’s and what I look most forward to with my membership
is doing business with other members and getting connected to new
business opportunities of my own.
The Boehme Group is a commercial real estate owner’s
representative and construction management consulting firm

representative services for client’s corporate real estate needs in the

clients’ corporate real estate projects and manages all aspects of the
ground up development or tenant improvement process including
site selection, project, due diligence, pre-leasing activities, project
planning, project budget analysis, design management, construction
management, move management and project closeout.

Members Only Dine
Around
The first Members Only Dine Around in Hannibal’s Square took place
on March 24th and was well attended. The intimate setting of the
private backyard patio at Mi Tomatina was a great place to start our
fun event. Appetizers and drinks were enjoyed by everyone along
with networking with other CREW Members. Most were having such
a good time that it was difficult to get everyone to leave for their
smaller dine arounds at Cask & Larder, Hannibal’s on the Square,
Mi Tomatina and Armando’s. The smaller restaurant outings gave
many members a chance to get to know each other better on a
more personal level. Several members walked away with some
great Crew connections that are sure to become future Crew
deals. Thank you to our sponsors: First American Title Insurance

Future Leaders learn the art of making the perfect mojito
Mackenzie Arnold and
Farley Griner
Nikki Carolan and
Laura Barbero-Buffa
Old Fashioned:
• Muddle 2 sugar cubes in a glass with 1 oz of water
• Add a little Angostura Bitters
• Take orange peels and rub on the bottom of the glass, then stir
• Add 2oz of Whiskey of choice – Old Forester was used, used. It is the
first bottled bourbon. Only 1 of 8 distilleries were allowed to make it
during prohibition.
• Add fruit to a toothpick (blackberry, orange, etc) and enjoy!
Mojito:
• Muddle ½ a lime cut into 8ths
• Add 4-5 mint leaves and 1 oz of simple syrup, muddle lightly (if you
muddle the mint too much it will have a bitter flavor)
• Add 2 oz of Rum – Appleton Spiced Rum was used.
• Add Ice
• Shake (approximately 24 times, thanks to Stacey for counting!)
• Top off with soda water and slightly stir
• Add a garnish of mint on top by first smacking the mint to release
the scent then enjoy!
Simple Syrup:
• 1 to 1 ratio
• 1 cup of water to 1 cup of sugar, bring to a boil and cool. If water is
warm enough, it can be shaken to get sugar to disintegrate.
All CREW members 35 and under are invited and encouraged
