PASTOR'S NOTES
Welcome to Friar Fest
2013!
On behalf of St. Francis Church, we
welcome you to our annual festival! This
Sunday gives us the opportunity to gather
as a parish community to celebrate, enjoy
each other’s company, and honor our patron,
St. Francis of Assisi. For the past several
months, our Festival Committee has working tirelessly to make sure everything is
ready for this weekend. It promises to be a
wonderful event full of fun!
This year, we kicked off the weekend
on Friday with our “Friar Feast Taste”
which was an opportunity for everyone to
come together for a small taste of the great
food our Vista community has to offer, listen
to live music, and bid on items in the silent
auction. “Friar Feast Taste” is a good time to
meet other adult parishioners you might see
regularly at a Mass but haven’t met personally.
Sunday is the big day in which you
can enjoy many different activities, such as
the blessing of the animals, vendor row,
games, and of course participate in our
$5,000 Mega Draw! Sunday also provides
you the opportunity to sample a great variety of foods prepared by our parish communities and ministries while enjoying the
many forms of live entertainment, the inflatable Fun Zone for the kids, and La Loteria
for the family! Whether you try the Vietnamese food, Filipino food, Mexican food or
some old-fashioned burgers and hot dogs, I
can assure you that everything will be excellent.
I want to take this opportunity to
personally thank everyone who has
worked so hard to make this weekend
happen. To the committee members, donors, and the many volunteers who have
dedicated a great number of hours to
make our weekend a successful one, you
are all sincerely appreciated! Without the
work of so many people, none of this
would be possible. Thank you all for your
dedication and contribution to our community.
Please take a moment to join the
community and me at this parish festival
celebration and if you see me around,
please let me know how you are enjoying
it.

Mensaje del Párroco
¡BIENVENIDOS AL FESTIVAL DEL FRAILE 2013!!!!
En nombre de la Parroquia de San
Francisco de Asís ¡Bienvenidos a nuestro
Festival anual!

FORMACION FAMILIAR EN LA FE!
“LA MISION SOCIAL DEL DISCIPULO”
Re-
iniciaremos ESTE sábado 12 de octubre
Tema: “Ungidos para una Misión”
8:30 am y 10:30 am
ORACIÓN DE LA CAMPAÑA
Altísimo Dios, te pedimos que derrames
tu Espíritu Santo sobre esta comunidad parroquial.
Ayúdanos a enfrentar los retos de
nuestro ministerio parroquial. Ilumínanos a
