5 Universal Quick Mounting Plate
The NEW Universal Quick Mounting Plate is designed specifically for
quick and easy mounting as well as hands-free hanging during wiring.
Direct; hook, cord and plug; universal power hook; and pendant mount
configurations are available. Mounting plates can be shipped in advance
of fixtures to help expedite the installation process.

Apparent by its “pink” color, and standard on all
Open Optic PSMP lamp style LSI Industrial High
Bay fixtures is the MP-Style Protected Lamp Socket.
This feature ensures compliance with National
Electric Code 2005, Article 410.73.F .5 Metal Halide
Containment. This special socket prevents
use of a standard lamp on open optics fixtures.

“(5) Metal Halide Lamp Containment. Luminaires (fixtures) that use a metal halide lamp other than
thick-glass parabolic lamp (PAR) shall be provided with a containment barrier that encloses the lamp,
or shall be provided with a physical means that only allows the use of a lamp that is Type O.”
A Type O lamp is considered to be of the MP style which prevents a standard lamp from being used.
