BEARSDEN AND MILNGAVIE DAFAS MEMBERS To meet the
BEARSDEN AND MILNGAVIE DAFAS MEMBERS
To meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive and the new Fire
Safety Regulations all members of each organisation using the New Halls of
New Kilpatrick Parish Church have to be aware of the following points:
(1)
TOILETS
On the ground floor there are toilets for ladies and gentlemen and, on
both floors, there is a toilet for people with any disability but which
can also be used by anyone.
(2)
EMERGENCY PROCEDURE
In the unlikely event of an emergency requiring people to leave the
Hall a two-tone klaxon alarm will sound.
(3)
ASSEMBLY POINT
The Assembly point for the New Halls in the Glebe Car Park,
adjacent to the Boys' Brigade Hall.
(4)
EMERGENCY EXITS
There are two emergency exits from this Hall. The one behind you
to your left, the doorway by which you came in, leads to the main
stairway and it exits at the bottom of the stairway, to the pedestrian
way outside and then to the Glebe Car Park next to the Boys' Brigade
Hall where you will wait until asked to return to the Hall or disperse
home. Downstairs there are two further exits - one at the far end of
the walkway and the other is the normal main entrance which opens
automatically if the fire alarm is triggered. The second exit from this
hall is the one in front of you to the left which is also the exit to be
used for those with any disability. The lift must not be used in an
emergency. This exit door opens left directly, at ground level, onto
the pavement on Manse Road to the pedestrian way and it exits to the
right down the external stairway to the path below the Hall, and hence
to the Glebe Car Park next to the Boys' Brigade Hall.
(5)
STEWARDS
There will be two appointed Stewards of Bearsden and Milngavie
DAFAS (officebearers).
They will be positioned at each doorway, upstairs and downstairs, to
assist and guide everyone safely from the Hall to the Assembly Point
in the Glebe Car Park.
