Pga Tour Professionals Challenge The Copperhead
March 11-17
Luke Donald, the third-ranked player in the Official World Golf Ranking, will be the defending champion
as the PGA TOUR comes to Innisbrook March 11-17 for the Tampa Bay Championship.
Donald won the 2012 event in a thrilling four-man playoff that also included 2010 winner Jim Furyk,
Robert Garrigus and Sang-Moon Bae of Korea. British Open champion Ernie Els was among four others
who missed the playoff by a single stroke.
Now known as the Tampa Bay Championship, the tournament will continue to feature many of the top
players in the world. Brandt Snedeker, the 2012 FedExCup champion, and Adam Scott are two other
members of the OWGR top 10 expected to challenge Donald for the $990,000 first prize.
Other top players expected include Sergio Garcia, Nick Watney, Martin Kaymer, David Toms, John
Daly, Zach Johnson, as well as past champions Furyk, K.J. Choi, Retief Goosen, Carl Pettersson, Gary
Woodland, Vijay Singh and Sean O’Hair.
The tournament will be nationally televised by NBC Sports and Golf Channel, showing a Copperhead
Course that the pros love and have voted as a top-10 course on the PGA TOUR.
Once again more than 60 area charities will benefit from the tournament through the Birdies for Tampa
Bay Charities program. In addition, the Tampa Bay Championship has named Moffitt Cancer Center as
an official charitable partner for 2013.
For more information, please visit www.TampaBayChampionship.com.

FROM GOLFERS TO DOCTORS IN MOMENTS
When faced with a medical crisis on the golf course, retired physicians Dr. Herb Goldfarb
and Dr. David Wineinger along with Scott Malmgren quickly responded. We applaud
Drs. Goldfarb and Wineinger and Mr. Malmgren for their actions; they truly are heroes.
We are sincerely grateful for their prompt response and lifesaving action.
This also serves as a reminder that everyone should assess how prepared they are for a medical
crisis. Below are several items to think about.
• Do you know how to administer CPR?
• Do you know how to administer basic First Aid?
• Do you keep an emergency contact list that includes name(s), number(s), and relationship in
your wallet or purse? Could someone assisting you easily find this information?
• Do you keep a list of your current medications, including medications to which you are allergic,
in your wallet or purse? Could someone assisting you easily find this information?
• Do you carry your medical insurance card and the contact information for your primary care
doctor in your purse or wallet? Could someone assisting you easily find this information?
Innisbrook really is where the people make the difference.
PIPE LINE | 13
• Do you know that if you have a Florida driver’s license you can register an emergency contact
online with the Florida DMV? Simply visit www.gorenew.com and follow the prompts to renew
your license. After provider your driver’s license number, date of birth, and last four digits of
your social security number, you can provide or update your emergency contact information.
Other states may have a similar feature on their DMV websites.
