ANJUNA FLEA MARKET
ANJUNA FLEA MARKET
Enjoy a day out to Anjuna, a beach town situated in North of Goa.
Anjuna became the hide-out for Western 'hippies' arriving in the
60's. After running out of money but not wanting to leave, these
travelers sold and bartered their possessions, everything from
clothes, guitars, jeweler, art, music and more. This was the
beginning of the now popular 'flea' market at Anjuna, and what
started as "a Hippie exchange" is now one of Anjuna's most popular
attractions.
Srategically situated on the sandy stretch overlooking the Arabian
Sea, today’s vast and bustling Market, which transpires every
Wednesday during the peak season (October-April), practically
takes up the entire stretch of beach. The Market offers everything
and anything you could think of auctioned by merchants and
gypsies from across India selling locally produced apparel, spices,
tea, coffee, jewellery, hand-made toys, souvenirs and much more.
Over the years, the international seasonal residents of Goa have
also opened kiosks here to sell imported fashion as well as their
own unique designs that largely produced in Goa. Before driving
back to your hotel, experience a floating ride on boat followed with
lunch.

WISDOM OF INDIA
The only excursion that gives you an opportunity to visit four different religions,
Explore the Northern part of Goa, Visit the Caves at Harvelem. These caves are
from the 16th Century locally known as Pandava caves. They have long been
thought to be of Buddhist origin, with the Linga installed in the four shrines after
the decline of Buddhism but this is not altogether certain and they may have
been Brahminical from the start. They are excavated into the laterite hill
consisting of two major caves and a residential chamber. Close to this you will
also visit the Harvelem Waterfalls, which cascades down from the mountains,
from a height of 25metres, is one of the amazing waterfalls in Goa. Unlike other
waterfalls there are stairs built so that one can actually go near the head of the
fall to witness the scenic view. In its vicinity you would site the Rudreshwar
temple. The temple holds importance for the Hindus who believe in releasing the
soul on the 12th day after death.
Later proceed to Old Goa, Chapel of Our Lady of the Mount. This chapel is
situated on a hill. It was build after the victory of Portuguese nobleman Alfonso
de Albuquerque over Adil Shah. This Chapel was restored to his past glory in
2001. The chapel is brightly white washed. You can see the entire view of Old
Goa. You also get a view of Divar and Chorao islands and the Mandovi River.
Proceed to capital city – Panjim where you will be served with a buffet Lunch.
Post Lunch, drive to Betim to visit Gurudwara. Goa has very few Gurudwara
temples. Gurudwara are mainly the religious centers of Sikh people of Sikhism
religion.
The tour ends with the visit to Jain temple. During the pre-Portuguese period,
there were settlements of the Jain trading community in areas like Bandoda,
Gujirwada in Kudne, Kothambi and Narve, which disappeared during Portuguese
rule. There are ruins of three Jain temples belonging to Vijayanagar period. The
first Jain Basti of Neminath is from Bandivade of Ponda taluka. The other two
Jain temples located in Cudnem and Jainkot area of Narve belong to the
Vijayanagar period.

GOAN HERITAGE
The day starts with a visit to the Fort Tiracol, located on the northern tip of
Goa at the mouth of the Tiracol River. The name probably originated from
the Marathi tir-khol meaning "steep river-bank". The fort was originally
built by Maharaja Khem Sawant Bhonsle. The Raja of Sawantwadi, in the
17th century. The fort initially consisted of 12 guns, a barrack and a chapel.
Proceed to visit the largest and best-preserved Portuguese bastion in Goa
Fort Aguada, built in 1609-12, to control the entry into the river Mandovi
and to protect Old Goa from potential enemy attacks. The fort was named
after the Portuguese word "Agua" which means water, because of the
presence of freshwater springs inside. Strategically located at the estuary of
the river Mandovi, this fort was constructed as a guard against invasions
from the Dutch and the Marathas. Fort Aguada remains the only fort that
was not conquered by any invaders during the 450 year long rule of the
Portuguese empire. An unusual and interesting feature in the precinct of
the fort is a 13 meter high lighthouse, the oldest of its kind in Asia.
Later proceed to the Reis Magos Fort. Predating Fort Aguada by half a
century, This Fort, surrounded by sturdy laterite walls studded with
typically Portuguese turrets, was erected in 1551 to protect the narrowest
point at the mouth of the Mandovi estuary. The fort formerly
accommodated viceroys and other dignitaries newly arrived from, or en
route to, Lisbon, and in the early 18th century proved a linchpin in the wars
against the Hindu Marathas, who were never able to take it.

MAHARAJA WEDDING
A typical American wedding can be summed up in three basic
aspects: rehearsal, ceremony and reception. An Indian wedding is
vastly different. Weddings are very important to the Indian culture
because marriage is sacred and held in very high regard in India. The
ceremonies are ritualistic and serious affairs lasting for several days
and created with a blend of tradition, values, and celebration. Many
Indians still practice the tradition of arranged marriages, where the
parents select a match for their child based on factors such as
personal values, tastes, age, socio-economic background and religious
beliefs.
An Indian wedding is commonly associated with a Hindu marriage
ceremony. However, Indian weddings can also represent Islam,
Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Buddhism, Jain and Christianity.
Indian weddings differ according to the region and community in
which the couple dwells. Most Indian weddings are very large, hosting
500 to 1,000 guests.
Here is a chance to experience an Indian wedding. A Wonderful
opportunity to renew your wedding vows deep in the Jungle, Be the
“king of the Jungle” with your queen by your side, as you are escorted
on your adventure, with thumping drums in an Elephant parade to an
exclusive Temple in the Glimpses of India with traditional pomp and

SCUBA DIVING
1. Discover/ Try Scuba diving:
The Discover/ Try Scuba Diving Experience is a program which is designed for people wanting to try their first scuba
dive. Swimming skill is desirable but NOT essential for this program.
Your day starts with a short briefing explaining the principles of diving and your equipment, followed by a dive in the
shallow water to get used to being underwater. You will learn some basic skills, get comfortable with the dive gear.
Once you are comfortable in the water, you will be taken for your dive under the close, direct supervision of a dive
instructor- in the best case scenario the instructor takes two people underwater with him so he can hold on to your
tanks, you are never alone underwater. The dives are less than 12 m deep, usually between 6-10 m. The dive time is
30 mins, it could be more or less depending on your comfort level.
2. Fun Dives:
These are for clients who already hold a certification from one of the international dive agencies. We take them out
on the boat where they do two dives. The visibility in Goa is in the 4-5 m range. The most popular dive sites in Goa
are the wreck of the S.S Rita, and Navy bay rocks. We are most likely to go to these sites, as they have the best
conditions usually, as they are in sheltered bays. If there are more experienced divers, we could go to St. Georges
Reef (aka Umma Gumma reef) or to Davey Jones locker, a shipwreck at Sail Rock, but usually there is lower visibility
and currents to deal with here. We do these sites on days when there is no current and the water looks clear.
Another option is Lobster rocks, on the same side of the island as the shipwreck.
NOTE:
1. Minimum 10 yrs of age can participate as long as they are not afraid of being in water.
2. Alcohol is a strict no-no. Clients should not intake alcohol on the previous night or on the excursion day. Any
guest found under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed on this excursion.
3. Before you sign up, please fill out the medical statement. This is meant to quickly check that you have no
medical conditions that would make it unsafe for you to go scuba diving.
4. Operation of the tour is subject to weather conditions.

YOGA
Human beings are made up of three components—body, mind and soul corresponding these there are three
needs—health, knowledge and inner peace. Health is physical need, knowledge is our psychological needs and inner
peace is spiritual need when all three are present then there is harmony.
Yoga gives us relief from countless ailments at the physical level. The practice of the postures (asana) strengthens
the body and creates a feeling of well being. From the psychological view point, yoga sharpens the intellect and aid
in concentration; it steadies the emotions and encourages a caring for others.
The practice of breathing techniques (pranayam) calms the mind. Through meditation inner peace is experienced.
Thus, yoga is a practical philosophy involving every aspect of a person’s being. It teaches the evolution of the
individual by the development of self-discipline and self awareness. Anyone irrespective of age, health,
circumstances of life and religion can practice yoga. Yoga helps to discipline our sense of power with the power of
our own.
Through this art everyone can experience the Divine and enjoy the ecstasy of freedom from pain and ignorance
