On Mission Together
It’s hard to believe that I have served with you
in Yates Baptist Association for 15 years!
There have been many changes in our staff, our
ministry and in our churches. It has been a
privilege to be a part of the ministry of the
churches of YBA. I believe that God is leading
us to great things in 2010 as we respond to the
opportunities that we have to share the gospel and meet the needs
of people here where we live and around the world. Please pray
and join us as we work together to impact churches who can
impact the world.
In 2010 you we have the opportunity to be a part of “Find It
Here.” This is an evangelism emphasis developed by the Baptist
State Convention of North Carolina. It encourages God’s people
to pray for those who do not know Jesus as their savior and to
invite them to our churches. This can include Prayer Walking
neighborhoods and having intentional times of praying for people
who need the Lord. Train people to share their faith and invite
folks to your Easter worship service and to a small group Bible
study. Easter Sunday is to be an ingathering Sunday as the
message of a risen savior is preached and then the church is to
baptize and disciple the new believers.
In 2010 we can choose to join our hearts and our witness to make
a spiritual impact in our communities. I still believe that when
we unite our resources to do evangelism and ministry then,
together we can make a difference.
