• All of our equipment is NSF listed and UL approved for safety, however, most
of it is designed for indoor use. Please ask if you are unsure of how the
equipment may be used outdoors.
• Our rental equipment is tested for safety and reliability on a regular basis. As with
all equipment, however, there is a risk that if it is not used properly, injury could
result. Detroit Popcorn Company assumes no responsibility for injury resulting
from the misuse of a machine. Insurance and health department permits, if
required for your particular event, should be provided by you.
• You will be responsible for the equipment from the time the equipment is
picked up to the time it is returned. Please make sure the equipment is secured
when not in use and protected from the weather. You will be charged for any
damaged, missing, or stolen equipment. Customer is responsible for lost or
stolen equipment. If equipment is lost, stolen, or not returned the customer will
be charged the full retail value for the replacement of equipment.
• CANCELLATIONS: Due to the high demand for equipment, it is necessary
for us to have reservations guaranteed in advance in the form of a security deposit.
Deposits must be presented at least one week prior to the rental date.
Cancellations made at least 48 hours (2 days) prior to the rental date will not
be penalized. Cancellations made after 48 hours (2 days) will be charged one
day’s rental cost for all equipment reserved.

• A two week notice is required in order to guarantee availability of any rental
equipment.
• All equipment can be delivered, but delivery is not included. Delivery charges cover
delivery and pickup of equipment in the tri-county area. Delivery charge may be higher for some locations. (Ask about delivery charges that may apply)
• Our policy requires that a refundable security deposit in the amount of two (2) times the one day rental fee. Security deposit is accepted in the form of a check or credit card, along with a copy of a valid driver’s license or state identification card.
• All rentals are to be prepaid, or C.O.D. unless a charge account has been
previously established. Open account customers in good standing may submit a signed purchase order in lieu of a security deposit.
• Most of the equipment we rent requires training prior to its use. We suggest that the person(s) designated to run the equipment get a lesson in operation from us prior to the date of the event. (EQUIPMENT MAY NOT WORK
PROPERLY WITH EXTENSION CORDS.) We will not be responsible for machines that do not work properly if no lesson was given prior to use.

Michigan. We cater to all your party needs. If you need a slush machine for a graduation,
a sno-kone machine for your kids birthday party, or an antique popcorn popper to attract
the crowds at a trade show. We have all of the supplies you could possibly need to make your
renting experience convenient and fun.
We rent equipment to a variety of people for all types of affairs. Schools and churches often
rent our equipment and turn food into money for fundraising. Caterers rent our equipment to add
that extra touch to make large parties more exciting. Automobile dealers rent our equipment for
tent sales. Even your neighbors rent our equipment for their kids‘ birthday and graduation parties.
So you see, everybody has a reason at one time or another to rent our equipment. We
strive to have something to fit everybody’s needs.
We have added several new items to rent, and we even added a catering division to
help you with small or large events. Detroit Popcorn Company now offers kosher equipment and
supplies. Call us for more details.
This catalog is only an outline of the items that we have for rent. We are constantly adding
new items to our rental fleet. If you don’t see an item here for rent, please ask. Chances are, we
probably have it, or we can direct you to someone that does.
