Employment lawyers uniformly recommend employers
take more time to educate supervisors and managers
on their responsibilities under state and federal
employment laws as the actions of these people are
many times a company’s first line of defense if not
handled properly...or can establish the basis for
potential claims against the company. More.
If you have questions about our employment law practice, contact Stacey DeKalb.
My beloved Minnesota Vikings are no strangers to legal dramas, and
their latest legal kerfuffle reads like my third year employment law
final exam. In one corner, we have former Minnesota Vikings punter/
marriage equality advocate/burgeoning rock star/author Chris
Kluwe. In the other corner, the Minnesota Vikings and their yetemployed Special Teams Coach, Mike Priefer. Read the article by Jeff
O’Brien which appeared in the St. Michael Patch.
In the early 1980’s, when I joined K-tel International
as its first in-house lawyer, the company owned the
television-advertised compilation album business
throughout the world. Its subsidiary companies in
over 20 countries released compilation albums in
virtually every musical genre. Albums with titles like
“Hit Explosion” and “Axe Attack” sold millions of units.
Read the article by Paul Bezilla which was published
by the International Association of Entertainment
Lawyers and released at MIDEM in early February.
Kevin Hunter and Jeff O'Brien discussed the legal issues involved in raising equity in
business, what's involved in a public offering, how securities regulations impact your
ability to raise funds for business, how crowd funding works and recent changes in the
rules pertaining to crowd funding on the January 23rd "Business Forum Show." More.
If you have questions about our business practice, contact Jeff O’Brien.

accompanying Marc Johannsen to court hearings and trials to see the end result of
months of work and getting to know the clients and their particular issues.

years of marriage in 2013 and traveled to Italy
for the first time last October. They took a Rick
Steve’s My Way Tour and traveled with a group
