This year, the Ste­Agathe golf club is aligning with junior golf
development. You can already visit them to meet with a CN Future
Links Instructor as well as with a young Phys. Ed. teacher who
recently attended the Community Golf Coach training.

name of a team competition. Many also call it Two­Ball, Best Ball. In that
kind of competitions, the two partners play their own balls and use their

Golf Professional visit grant
In order to assist with the costs involved with visiting a school, Golf
Canada will provide grants to PGA of Canada members. The $150
grant helps to offset any costs to the professional for his/her time in

The Chairperson of the committee, Diane Dunlop Hébert is proud to
announce the induction of Karl Kasper Keffer into the Québec Golf
Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place within the 125th
anniversary celebration of the Royal Ottawa Golf Club where a
cocktail dinner will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Read

Pierre Dugas was host, this
week at Cowansville, of an inter­
school tournament gathering 4
elementary schools: St­Léon,
Ste­Thérèse, Curé Petit, and
Heroes Memorial. Participants
included 23 students, their
Phys. Ed. teachers, principals,
parents and some Community
Coaches. Everyone enjoyed
themselves immensely.
Josée Pérusse recently moved
to the JGDC of Club de golf
Venise where she works closely
with the Eastern Townships
Regional Coach, Pierre Lallier.
She will conduct a junior golf
camp from June 27 to 29. As
well, her women's clinic will be
presented in collaboration with
Jocelyne Bourassa on June 30.

Charest
Everyone knows that is it much
more impressive to make a
double­eagle than a hole­in­
one. A new member of
Victoriaville and employee of the
proshop, Samuel Charest
played 2 on hole #13 (a par­5 of
486 yards). Patrick Cassin and
François Veillette had the
privilege of witnessing this rare
achievement.

Junior Jamboree
As part of their hosting preparations for the 2018 Provincial Junior
Championship, the St­Prime­sur­le­Lac­St­Jean golf club is proud to welcome
regional junior golfers, at no charge, this Saturday, June 11, beginning at 9:00
am. They will benefit from a 2­hour clinic with regional golf professionals
followed by an afternoon competitition.

First leg of the Jocelyne Bourassa Series
Provincial match play championships Katherine Gravel­Coursol of Le Blainvillier
captured the victory of the 7th edition of the NIVO
Debbie Savoy Morel Cup and became the first
amateur champion to successful defend her title
since the inception of this tournament.
Annie Lacombe of Le Blainvillier won the amateur
competition in a sudden­death playoff while
Hélène Chartrand of Summerlea swept the senior

the senior category .
Dwight Reinhart of Eagle Creek was crowned

Our best juniors at the Québec CN Future Links Championship
Noémie Paré of Victoriaville and Céleste Dao of Summerlea respectively ranked 2nd and 3rd at the
Québec CN Future Links Championship held in Beauceville. They were only a few strokes behind
Ontario winner, Monet Chun. In the boys' competition, Marc­Antoine Hotte of Le Mirage is our best

They battled hard to defend their 2015 title. However, the women's team of the Université de Montréal

Québec professionnal Maude­Aimée LeBlanc tied for 31st at the Shoprite Classic. As a
result, she went up 31 ranks on the world's ranking while Anne­Catherine Tanguay

Bill 44 is amended
On June 2, we were announcing that a new phase of the Bill concerning the
regulations of tobacco was enforced. The following day, the NGCOA received an
official communication from the Deputy Health Minister. It turns out that, based on the
distinct character of golf, the law willl no longer apply on the course itself, but will be
in effect in the clubhouse and on terraces.
