Fall 2014
We are so glad you are interested in taking that NEXT STEP in faith!
You may be …
 New to this whole church thing and really just want to get to know
other people ...
 Wanting to grow closer to God with people in the same stage of life
as you ...
 Looking to know God’s plan for your marriage ...
 Figuring out who you are in God’s eyes ...
 Looking to dive deeper into Scripture ...
We think you will find just the right NEXT STEP for you. God does not want
us to do this life alone, instead we are called to meet together (Acts 2:46) and
encourage each other (1 Thessalonians 5:11) in our relationship with God.
So we hope you will browse through this catalog, pray about it and take that
NEXT STEP with Christ!

relaxed atmosphere of caring, sharing, and fun! Our HOPE
MOPS group is chartered with MOPS International, Inc. This non-denominational

New! Thursday Small Group for Women
Becoming Myself is a hope-filled book for anyone who
wonders if her life will ever change—if she will ever change.
In Stasi Eldredge’s most intimate book yet, she shares her
own struggles with self-worth, weight, and her past as she
shows readers how God is faithfully unveiling who we truly
are. It's a beautiful paradox. The more of God’s you become,
the more yourself you become—the “self” He had in mind
when he thought of you before the creation of the world.
Led by Heather Mandala and Amanda Cavaliere, this eight-week, DVD-driven study meets every
1st and 3rd Thursday evening at 7pm. This group will meet in various homes. Their first meeting
will be in the Mandala’s home on October 2 at a special time of 7:30pm
Target Audience - Adult Women

33 The Series
In this volume of 33 The Series, we’ll look at all new
material that will challenge and equip men to go
below the surface, to look deep into our hearts and
explore some areas that are all too easy to ignore but
are critical in our journey toward authentic manhood. These six sessions will
provide a framework and a process that will help men understand what lies behind
the manhood traps and beneath the heart idols that can distract them from the
truth and the power of the Gospel.
This group meets in the Worship Space each Thursday evening at 7:30pm beginning October 16.
Target Group - Men
Holy Smokes!
Holy Smokes is a monthly Bible study for men that
meets one Friday each month at 7:30pm. The guys
gather around a fire, smoke cigars, swap stories from their week, encourage and
support one another, read some Bible and pray. This is an informal group of men
who believe being conformed to His image takes a lifetime; and also believe they
are on a journey together to become more like Jesus, one step at a time.
The group meets in a different member’s backyard and/or patio. The next two meetings will be
Fridays, October 24 and November 21 at 8pm. For locations, or if you have any questions, email
HOPE Pastor Rick Court at [email protected].

grappling in handling the pressures of everyday life.

Pathways, Passions and Gifts
God speaks to each of us uniquely. Some will hear Him while

We all have specific pathways, passions and gifts where we hear
God’s voice the clearest and are called to serve.
Led by Marilyn Bills and Nancy Seigle this group meets in Room 10 each Monday evening from
7 to 8:30pm.
Target Audience - Adults

will empower you and your family with practical, stresssaving skills and confidence as you head toward

Married Couples Small Group
In this eight-session, small-group Bible study, Christian, by Andy
Stanley, participants examine the characteristics Jesus used to define those who follow him and the implications they have for
believers today. According to Andy Stanley, the words used to
describe Christians today often bear no resemblance to what Jesus
wanted his followers to be known for. Couples looking to grow
together and with others in Christ, this small group is for you!
This group will be led by the Parks and the Kuklises and meet in individual homes. This group will
alternate their meetings between Saturdays and Sundays.
Target audience: Adult couples

the Chapel at 9am. Email questions to Youth Pastor Dave Falcone at
[email protected].
Life Groups
One of the best ways for women to go deeper in your
relationship with Jesus, is to do so with one or two others. If
you are ready to take that next step and have someone you
already “do life with,” then we would love to encourage you to
make it official.
Talk to Heather Mandala, HOPE’s Director of Small Groups about forming a life group where you
can work together to apply God’s word to your life.
Target Audience - Women
