Book Packs
Dear Parents and Caregivers
This week we have a number of activities going on:
These need to be ordered before school finishes to ensure that your
children have books ready to begin the year. This year we have
introduced Centrepay possibilities. Please contact the school if
you wish to utilise Centrepay for your books and swimming. Your
children receive their books on day 1 of school if you have
completed an undertaking to pay through Centrepay. To
access this, you must receive a Centrelink payment.
 Tuesday Afternoon sees the Christmas Concert. This is in the
Staff Farewells
The school year is rapidly coming to an end. Today saw our Year
7 Farewell Assembly. Parents were invited to this assembly to
see their children transition to high school. Siblings welcomed
the Year 7 students. It was a great Assembly.
hall and will start at 1:25. It will be a tight schedule to get
through before 2:30. All parents are welcome to attend.
 Wednesday sees Books in Homes Book Giving Ceremony. P
-3 students receive their books a 9:00 and Year 4-7 receive
their books at 9:30. As part of the 9:30 Ceremony Dr Sue
Waterson from Griffith University will present the prize for the
Term 3 I Dream Project which was again won by our Year 6
and 7 Options Team
 Wednesday also sees the Year 7 Graduation. The Graduation
Ceremony at Carole Park State School is amongst the best I
have ever had the privilege of attending. It starts at 5:30 with
children going to the Resource Centre for official photographs.
Parents then join their children after dinner for the Graduation
Ceremony and an evening of dance.
 Thursday sees some celebration activities
in various classes
 Friday is our Behaviour Reward Day.
The reward this term is a free swim at the
pool. For children to participate their
behaviour at school has to be wonderful and
they must also have a current swimming
permission note.
We sadly farewell Ms Nikki Larkman who has been a member of
our Early Years Team for two years and Ms Rosemary Cusack
who has relieved in both Ms Bond’s class and Mrs Johal’s class.
Disco Night
Last Thursday saw Channel 10 do their weather cross from the hall
during our Disco. The children sang beautifully and our disco
attendees loved the chance to be on television. Thanks to the staff
who assisted with the disco and the P&C for their contributions to
the evening.
Swimming
We have had another successful term of swimming instruction.
Craig, an instructor who has been coaching our children over a
number of years has stated that Carole Park
Children are the best behaved of all schools
that he takes swimming. Congratulations
kids!!

School Holiday Commence
This fundraising included weekly tuckshop, three discos and
stalls for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas. The
P&C also coordinate school banking. Thank you to a very
small group of parents for assisting with these undertakings.
Please think about helping out with these undertakings.
Take care over the Christmas Break. Classes for next year
are not yet finalised. These will not be displayed until Pupil
Free Days next year as we have had to look at only 8 classes
rather than 9 for next year. If there is movement in the community during the holidays, it is very important that we know
as early as possible. If new people move into the suburb with
school age children you could direct them to the school
webpage for information as well as Enrolment Packs.

We have put together a starter pack for new students
