NAYAK AIRCRAFT SERVICES
„30 years of NAYAK. 30 years of expansion. Building upon proven
ability to master new challenges – and that remains our challenge
for the future.“
HERE WE ARE.
Rodrigo Larrabe, Günther Busch, Herbert Busch, Germán Larrabe, Management
FAMILIAR NAMES, NEW FACES
For years the names Busch and Larrabe have stood for competence
and experience in the aeronautics industry. They have made
Nayak into Europe’s largest provider of airline-independent
maintenance. Our collaboration with nearly all the great airlines
in Europe underscores our relevance in the market, demonstrates
steady growth, and proves that our business concept works.
The succession at Nayak will guarantee that this will remain the
case for a long time to come. For years, Günther Busch and
Rodrigo Larrabe have been taking on more and more responsibility
in the corporate group. Within a defined time period, they will
take over the management of the group from the founders.
BROAD PORTFOLIO WITH A CLEAR FOCUS
The focus is on customers and their needs. What may sound like
a trite phrase is daily business at Nayak. The portfolio of offerings
is growing steadily. In addition to the business focus on Line
Maintenance, we now offer a portfolio of services that is unique
in Europe: engine workshop, avionics, calibration, nondestructive
crack testing, and component refurbishing, as well as development
and training. However, what makes us special is not the breadth
of the offerings, but the manner in which we offer these services
to customers. The location-independent flexibility of offering all
services at just the right time, and where customers need them,
makes Nayak an important partner of the airlines; ensuring short
idle times and effective handling.
Wherever the capacities of the airline’s own technical units are
insufficient, or an internal offering is not practical, Nayak is on
hand as a partner with qualified personnel. An offering that is
used more each day in light of rising passenger volumes and
tighter flight plans.
EUROPE IN OUR SIGHTS
The European growth of recent years is not the result of a growth
strategy, but instead represents organic growth on the basis of
customer requirements. Further growth is also structured in this
way. Nayak is expanding where customers need services and
where those services are economically practical. Acquisitions are
considered only when Nayak quality standards can be ensured
one hundred percent. Our own training organization and our
very good industry contacts throughout Europe ensure that the
right people are always working in the right place. Our certification
by the EASA – PART 145 and PART 147, PART 21J and PART 21G
– including some multiple certifications, ensures our unrestricted
ability to act.

EUROPE IN FOCUS
„Building upon more than 20 stations in Germany, the Netherlands,
and Italy, we will expand the territorial range of our offerings in Europe
to meet the requirements of the aviation industry.”

EUROPE IN FOCUS
The growth of the Nayak Group over the past five years has been marked above all by its
multidimensionality. Not only the territorial expansion of the offering, but also the continuously
growing range of the service portfolio, have made Nayak what it is today.
The organizational and management structure of the Group in Europe is designed with this in
mind. All Nayak companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Nayak Verwaltungs GmbH. It is our
policy to keep it that way for all future companies, in order to ensure uniform quality throughout
Europe. The prerequisite for this is regional management that is strong and qualified in equal
measure.
In the Netherlands these management responsibilities are in the hands of Luuk Houting and Patrick
Morcus. Both have many years of experience in the aviation business, most recently at Celsius
Aviocomp, a wholly owned Saab subsidiary, which has been taken over by the Nayak Group.
In Italy Nayak is managed by Giovanni Simonetti, who has worked for ATR in Toulouse and SAN
in Italy, among others.
Further European expansion is linked intimately to the requirements of the market. An essential
role in these efforts is played by the relationships to European aviation authorities. In-depth
knowledge of current regulations, along with efficient and proven collaboration, enable us to react
quickly and flexibly to new conditions – something from which Nayak customers will benefit both
today and in the future.
However, despite this growth for Nayak in Germany and for all its international operating companies,
the mission statement, Here we are, still applies. All European Nayak companies must measure
up to the standard of flexibility and customer orientation set by our own quality assurance
organization and above all by our customers.

LINE MAINTENANCE
„For us flexibility means more than just completing work assignments;
it also means 24-hour-a-day readiness to offer solutions within minutes.”

LINE MAINTENANCE
WE’RE THERE WHERE YOU NEED US
Whenever your flight plan includes transit checks, pre-departure
checks, or night stops – our technician teams are ready for you.
You decide where. Currently, we have a wide network of stations
in Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy, as well as one station in
Sweden. However, this is just a snapshot of things as they are;
a picture that can change any day in response to new customer
requirements. Decisive for our customers is the fact that our
services are not tied to our network of stations. We offer our
service where they are needed – flexibly, quickly, and reliably.
Talk with us and see for yourself whether we can also be there
where you need us.
QUALITY THROUGH QUALIFIED PERSONNEL
In addition to support for night stops (line, daily, and weekly
checks), as well as transit and pre-departure checks, we also do
A-checks in Line Maintenance. Many of our technicians are trained
and licensed for multiple systems, enabling them to give a ‘release
to service’ under the regulations of EASA Part 66.
Even if our current certifications do not yet meet your requirements,
we can still say: HERE WE ARE. Even in this case, we can present
an economically attractive concept to meet your needs within
just a short time. With our own training operations and outstanding
industry contacts throughout Europe, we can respond in just a
short time with personnel that fit your needs and meet our
standards of quality.
REAL-TIME SERVICE
Flight plan changes on short notice and minor technical problems
cannot wait; a technician has to be available within just a few
minutes. Our ad hoc service defuses these worrisome situations.
One call is all it takes, and a qualified technician is at your side
quickly, no matter which type of airplane it is. Many customers
who have had good experience with us in such situations are
now among our most important and loyal customers.

BASE MAINTENANCE
„Idle times mean losses. To avoid losses, you
need available capacities in Base Maintenance
at all times. That is exactly what we can offer
the market. Sounds simple, and it is.”
HERE WE ARE.

BASE MAINTENANCE
ONE TEAM. ONE CHALLENGE: YOUR SATISFACTION
In the hangar, the whole fascination of our work really becomes
visible. Once you have seen an ATR or BAE completely
disassembled and put back together, you will know what we
mean. Precision and dependability in their work are the basic
prerequisites that each and every one of our mechanics and
avionics experts must meet to ensure that work is executed
perfectly, even under enormous time pressures.
As a service center for many large manufacturers, we have to
provide A-B-C checks, change engines, do sheet metal work,
and carry out the work in narrow time frames for all popular
types of aircraft in regional air traffic. Our teams – and you
will notice this as soon as you enter the hangar – pursue a
common goal: to satisfy our customers by doing perfect work
and shortening idle times.
ENGINE SHOP
EXPERIENCE THAT PAYS OFF FOR YOU
Our engine workshop has specialized in Honeywell (Garrett)
TPE 331 Turboprop and Lycoming ALF 502 engines. Especially
for the TPE 331, our personnel have know-how that is
available nowhere else in Europe.
In our own hangar, we can carry out a variety of repairs directly.
That, once again, means short idle times for your aircraft and
cost savings for you. This is facilitated by the fact that we store
numerous spare parts in Cologne/Bonn. The motto of the
NAYAK Engine Shop is to make anything possible for its customers.
In consultation with you, we complete all services and repairs
in time.
AVIONICS
PRECISION IS OUR SPECIALTY
With our certifications under LBA and FAA, we test and repair
a wide variety of systems directly in the aircraft or in the shop
at our base in Cologne/Bonn. Installations ranging from
autopilot to TCAS are our daily business. Our own calibration
shop checks and sets your electronic and electro-mechanical
devices in accordance with prescribed guidelines.

BASE MAINTENANCE
CABIN REFURBISHMENT
THE FIRST IMPRESSION COUNTS
Whether your passengers feel comfortable depends to a great extent upon the condition and
quality of the interior. That is why in addition to the many technical services, we have also added
the craftsmanship challenge of cabin refurbishment to our portfolio, in order to provide our
customers in Base Maintenance with a complete offering. Whether cushions, complete replacement
of seats, rail systems, lighting systems, painting, replacement or repair of toilets and galleys, work
on soundproofing, or new floor coverings; after our full service, you won’t recognize your cabin.
And your customers will feel comfortable. Guaranteed.
MATERIALS
For many of our customers, modern warehousing means outsourcing a part of their
consignment stocks to NAYAK. That means that everything is on hand when needed.
In our approximately 700 m2 storage space, we store not only about 10,000 of our own spare
aircraft parts for all the popular regional aircraft, but also stocks for numerous customers. From
the receipt of goods to withdrawal from stock, we administer the entire consignment stock exactly
in accordance with the specifications of the respective customer.
For administration we use state-of-the-art EDP technology and, of course, work with replacement
part search engines, such as Partsbase or ILS. That enables us to process all queries quickly. As a
rule, requested spare parts are shipped on the same day. If a part should happen to be out of
stock, our good connections to manufacturers ensure that the necessary replacement parts are
available within a very short time. After all: time is money.
WE ARE SERVICE CENTER FOR ALL WELL KNOWN AVIATION EQUIPMENT PRODUCERS.

BUSINESS JETS
„Nayaks offering in the area of executive aviation is the logical extension
of the Nayak philosophy. The new campaign thus benefits from 30 years
of expertise.”

BUSINESS JETS
Since 2004 the Nayak Group has also been moving into the
market for executive aviation. Now operators of popular business
jet models can benefit from the expertise and the comprehensive
offerings of the largest airline independent maintenance services
partner in Europe. Today the entire service portfolio of Nayak is
already available for business jets, too. That includes Line Services
and Line Maintenance Services, as well as all the services of our
extensive Components Shop, based on EASA Part 145 organisation.
From daily checks, to interior and exterior cleaning, and complete
cabin refurbishment. From wheels and brakes, to aircraft batteries,
to coffee makers; no customer wish goes unfulfilled. Our constantly
growing network of stations in Europe ensures our customers a
unique availability of these services.
The current type certifications for Falcon and Hawker already
cover parts of the market. Other types can be added within a
short time. Furthermore, our own training operation under EASA
Part 147 also ensures the availability of qualified personnel in
the area of executive aviation across Europe.
The EASA Part 21 certification of our own Engineering and Design
Department enables us to meet the very individual needs of our
discerning executive aviation customers. Nayak has already
demonstrated this capability through a number of STCs.
The constantly growing and changing requirements of European
authorities call for a partner that can react quickly and flexibly.
This attractive offering is confirmed by the lively interest of the
supplier industry in Nayak service offerings. For example, Nayak
installs Iridium satellite telephones and is the exclusive distributor
of xenon landing light systems from LoPresti across Europe.

ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
„Continuous changes in legal requirements require prompt action.
To make sure your flexibility and reliability are not left behind, our
Engineering and Design Team is available at all times to provide
individual developments.”
HERE WE ARE.

ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
UNIQUE KNOW-HOW THROUGHOUT EUROPE
The area of Engineering & Design represents the logical further
development of our product portfolio. After all, NAYAK’s goal is
to provide customer service that can handle even very
individualized requirements.
Since June 2004, NAYAK has been licensed as a national
development operation under EASA Part 21. By employing special
engineers and designers, NAYAK can provide solutions to individual
problems. Once approved by the official agencies, these design
changes may be reproduced at any time.
Because of the continuous issuance of new regulations and the
growing influence by EASA at the European level, the engineering
and development organization will become much more important
in the coming years. With service from NAYAK, you can face these
challenges of the future a little more relaxed.

TECHNICAL TRAINING
„The most important investment in the future is in our employees.
Their competence is our capital. Providing consistent basic, advanced,
and continued training is one of the essential building blocks for further
expansion.“
HERE WE ARE.
Wolfgang Hobelsberger, Head of Technical Training

TECHNICAL TRAINING
TRAINING WITH A FUTURE
Our comprehensive training offerings have been developed from our own needs for qualified
personnel. Most of the bottlenecks in the area of aircraft services can be attributed to the lack
of perfectly trained technical personnel. This investment pays off not only in smooth daily business
operations but also in the long-term satisfaction of the personnel and the resulting low level of
fluctuation.
OFFERING TECHNICAL TRAINING EXTERNALLY WAS THE SECOND STEP
Highly qualified aircraft technicians are a rarity in the labor market. In our training center, we focus
on type training for modern regional airliners. In addition, we also offer training as a Certifying
Mechanic CAT A. The fact that our school is recognized under EASA Part 147 ensures that all
trainees meet the substantive and testing criteria of the EASA.
In the meantime, Nayak training is also appreciated beyond the ranks of its own employees. Some
of the major airlines have also recognized the quality of our technical training and are sending
more and more technicians to us for training purposes.
OUR TRAINING PORTFOLIO INCLUDES:

COMPONENT SERVICE CENTER
„Some of our customers have planned just as much money
for transporting wheels as for their maintenance. We thought
it was time to offer a solution for that problem.“
HERE WE ARE.
Georg Drabner, Head of the Components Shop
> 32

COMPONENT SERVICE CENTER
THE COMPONENT SERVICE CENTER OFFERS A LARGE NUMBER
OF REPAIR SERVICES, SUCH AS:
> Landing gear parts
> Aircraft wheels and brakes
> Starter generators
> Aircraft batteries
> Aircraft coffee makers
The NAYAK Component Service Center rounds out the portfolio
to give you one-stop shopping for everything from A to Z.
OUR BUSINESS IS BUILT ON INNOVATIONS
Service innovations are the basis of our business; they move us
forward when they move our customers forward. At all locations
at which we offer Line Maintenance, we link efficient material
logistics and our services for wheels and brakes. The result is a
complete, no-worry package for our customers.
Imagine that you never had to worry about servicing, refurbishing,
or replacing your wheels and brakes again; if desired, we can
even handle purchasing for you. We keep accounts of all your
wheels and brakes and have the right material in the right place
at the right time. In concrete terms that means: We transport the
wheels and brakes to exactly where they are needed and pick
them up again. The basis for the necessary work is the Component
Service Center that we have set up for just this purpose in the
vicinity of the Cologne/Bonn airport. Currently covering
1,200 m2, it handles maintenance and storage for customers
from all over Europe.
Let us develop a concept for you without obligation; we know
you’ll be convinced of the potential savings.
