CHAPTER 1
The Letters
July 29, 690
To: Pen Pal (Jared Maurus)
Hi Jared, I have not seen you since school ended. How are you doing? Maybe
you can show me what you look like now? How are your pets doing? Got any new
ones lately? From,
Steven Fitzpatrick
July 31, 690
To: Steven Fitzpatrick,
Hi Steven, I am feeling really well. I am having an awesome summer! So far
this summer, my friends from school came over to my place to play some games.
We played different games like manhunt, cops and robbers, and kick ball. We had
tons of fun. Furthermore, I would show you a picture of me when the time was
right. Also, my pets are very well. But the turtle passed. Guess what! I did get some
new pets. I actually got thirteen new pets. I found five pets and rescued two of
2
them. You should come by this summer. My address is 782 Lawton Avenue in the
country of Erianus.
From,
Jared Maurus
August 3, 690
To: Jared Maurus,
I would love to come over and see you in person! We will come over soon. My
mom said that it would probably take us three days to get to your place. See you
soon! By the way, happy holidays!

CHAPTER 2
Sleep Tight
"GO TO BED!" Steven's mom scolded. "We have a long day tomorrow. We have
to wake up at 6:00 am to prepare some food and some gifts to bring over to Jared
Maurus’s place because we cannot go empty handed. We still need to pack our
clothes and tooth brushes and towels and a whole lot of other things. We would
have to finish packing by 3:30 and start to leave the house arrive on time at the airport by 4:00 pm."
"Can't I stay up for just a bit longer," Steven pleaded.
"No" Answered his mother.
"Fine," said Steven as he started to walk up the stairs to his room. His room
was the one all the way down the hall. The door was painted a dark shade of blue
and had a sign that read, 'DO NOT ENTER'. Once he entered his room, he
plopped right onto his bed and slowly drifted into a peaceful asleep.

Crunch
Steven Fitzpatrick opened his eyes in a slug like manner, “What was that
sound?” he thought to himself. Then he heard that exact same sound again.
“What's going on out there?” he thought to himself. Then, he took his left hand,
swung it to his right side, and unraveled himself out of his warmly, layered blankets. He looked to his nightstand and his alarm clock read, ‘4:30 a.m.’ Getting out
of his bed slowly, he slipped on his navy blue cushioned slippers. Remembering
4
not to wake up his parents and older sister, he tip-toed to the frosty window. Nothing. There was nothing outside, just the midnight moon that shone down and the
snowflakes that fell swiftly down from the sky onto Steven's house. So, he decided
to go back to bed. He walked back to his bed, one step at a time, carefully not tripping over his school bag. He took his slippers off and slide into his still warm bed.
And so, he immediately fell into a deep sleep.

CHAPTER 3
The Different Life
Form
Steven was startled and woke up when he felt dribbles coming down from high
above. The dribbles were constant and they splashed up to his face. He opened his
right eye to see five, even ten creatures staring down on him. "Wow! This is so
cool!" He whispered to himself. "Wait, what am I saying?" He thought again. Steven had to find a way to get to safety. No one knows what might happen to a person when they come in contact with those creatures. Steven was just a few feet
away from his bedroom door so he decided to go for it and sprint to the door.
Then, faster than the speed of light, the creatures dashed toward Steven and
started to stared at him.
"Hello little child, what's your name?" Said one of the creatures.
"Ummmm.....myyy.... name is Steven," he said frightened.
"And how old are you Steven?” said another creature in an incomprehensible
voice.
"I am eleven years old," Steven answered politely.
As Steven was standing there, he observed the creature. The creature had a
hunched over back with two feet of finger nails on each finger. That was not the
end of it though, whatever that thing was, it was eyeless! That thing also had an
army of the same kinds of creatures behind him!
"What are you?" Questioned Steven anxiously.
"We here, are the Zaglossus attenboroughis of Erianus," chanted the creature.
6
That was the last words Steven and the Zaglossus attenboroughis said when all
of a sudden, the floorboards of Steven's room started to rubble. Floorboards
started to pop up all over the room and a blue portal submerged into the middle
of the room.
"Yaaa! What's happening?" Screamed Steven.
"You said you wished to see our world, so we are granting your wish," all of
them said simultaneously.
"I never said that!" Steven objected.
"No, but you were thinking it," said one of the Zaglossus attenboroughi convincingly.
"You all could read minds too?" Steven questioned.
"Of course,” answered the creatures.
But, as they entered the portal, there were more 'fun' in store for Steven than
he would want.
7
CHAPTER 4
Planet Erianus
All Steven could see and feel was the blue shining flashes and spiral motion, he
and the Zaglossus attenboroughis were going through. It seemed to Steven that
the environment around him was closing in on him. It was getting brighter and
brighter as they descended closer to what looked like flames of fire!
“Is it just me, or do I see a flaming pit of fire right below us!?” Steven demanded.
“Nope…,” one of the Zaglossus said.
“Thank goodness,” Steven interrupted.
“You did not let me finish. Nope, you are absolutely correct. Don’t you worry, it
won’t hurt a bit,” said the leader of the Zaglossus.
The flames were rising higher and higher to Steven’s ankles, then to his feet
and finally to his chest. They felt like tiny feathers tickling at him. Steven was descending quicker to what seemed like another pit filled with cussion and fluff.
“This is as far as we go,” said the Zaglossus.
What does that mean? Steven thought, not wanting to be rude. “What am I
supposed to do?” questioned Steven.
That was the last conversation he and the Zaglossus had. The creatures vanished into thin air once they reached the squishy substance. As for Steven, he
landed on the substance and was all alone. He felt the substance he had landed on
and it was a weird, mushy texture and it was stinky. Nowhere to go and too young
to fend for himself, he decided to go and find a way out of the smelly pit. The pit
8
smelled like a combination of rotten eggs and fish, spoiled milk, and overdue turkey meat.
"I gotta get out of here, or else, I'm gonna be sick, " he whispered to himself.
Steven was pacing back and forth, back and forth until he found this tiny exit
way that descended into a another dark path. Steven decided to go and see where
the dark path leads to. As Steven approached the door and he reached out his
right hand and placed it on the rusted old door knob. He turned the door knob
clockwise and gave the it a little shove. As Steven walked into the barely visible
path slowly and cautiously, the door gave a loud shriek and startled him. One step
at a time, Steven was hoping he was getting closer and closer to anywhere but
where he was now. Scared, sleepy, and exhausted, Steven decided that it was time
to take a break. He found a soft and comfortable area on the ground somewhere
and fell asleep. While he was in a deep sleep, he was dreaming that he was home,
with his loving family, and in his warm comfortable bed. Steven awoke after his
usual half an hour nap. He then threw up his two arms and stretched them as
high as he can while yawning for a long while. All of a sudden, he heard a loud
“grrr” coming from the left side of him.
“Uh oh,” he whispered.
Steven made out a figure in the dim light. The figure had a green looking fur
coat, red bulging eyes, claws, the sharpness of a Native American spear, and the
breath of two thousand Tasmanian devils. The creature approached closer and
closer until finally, Steven was face to fang with the varmint. Frozen still, the varmint circled Steven until he eventually stopped and stood on his two hind legs and
roared on the top of his two lungs; it then started to chase after him. Steven was
startled to death; he ran straight down the path, made a right and then stopped.
The beast was still after him.
What to do, what to do, he thought to himself.
Steven was out of breath but decided to keep on running away from the varmint. After quite a long time, he finally halted to a stop and turned his head
around to only see that the creature was not chasing after him anymore. Now Steven really, really did not want to be in this area anymore. Hisss!! Hisss!!
9
Not again. What was that? Steven wondered startled. Steven took one look at
the open mouth of something that happened to be a cave. He thought the sound
came from inside of this exact cave. Its darkness seemed to envelope Steven in a
never ending forest of mystic. Steven stepped inside. His breathing slowed as he
tried to take in more of the stale, humid air. Steven used the rough cave wall to
guide him to the sound of the hissing. All Steven could hear was drip, drip, drip,
like the sound and speed of Steven's heartbeat. Spires of large rock hung from the
high ceiling of the cave and stood erect upon the floor. A soft crack alerted Steven.
"Thank goodness," Steven said relieved. “I think I could sleep here for the
night,” Steven said.
The soft crack was only the sound of his sneakers cracking a pile of rocks. The
chilly draft sent shivers down his spine. As he stepped next to a large rock that was
twice the size of him, he heard that similar sound again.
What could that be? Steven thought again.
The rock itself had tiny carvings engraved onto it. The engraving felt like multiple stick figures running away from something. Steven looked over the rock and
found that there were eleven green spotted eggs. At the same time, he wondered
about his hopeless and starving stomach. Should he or should he not he eat the
egg? Too hungry and have not eaten for three days, Steven decided to take one of
the eggs and crack it open. He slurped in the tasty egg yolk.
“Not bad,” Steven said in astonishment.
Steven then reached out his hands to grab the rest of the eggs. But, what was
he going to put the eggs in? So, he placed the rest of the ten eggs lightly on the
ground for now. Steven thought back to when he was in workshop class. He tried
to remember if he had learned anything that could help him right now.
“Ah!” Steven said a bit too excited and loud. “I could find some twigs and
weave up a makeshift basket,” he said; this time much quieter.
Steven walked over to the other side of the cave and found some twigs.
10
“Alright, I got this,” he encouraged himself. “Over, under, over, under,” Steven
repeated until he finally finished weaving the basket.
Finally, he placed the eggs in the basket one at a time and started to walk out of
the cave to find a way to get back to his home. Steven did not fully know it yet but
he was not even near his warm comfy bed anymore. He wasn’t even close to his
house anymore. He wasn’t in his own town with his best friends Aaron or Anastasia anymore. In fact, Steven was 69,000,000 miles away from his own world. He
was in a more suitable, more appropriate, and more ‘happier’ place now. He was
in a world where he would be considered a mortal. A live mortal in an immortal
world. 11
CHAPTER 5
Alcyone
“Oh, we have visitors. Welcome to Alcyone mortal. The welcoming committee
will be coming shortly”.
As Steven was looking for a way out of this place, he came across a castle of
some sort. Steven, being his curious self, decided that it was okay to walk right in
and take a glimpse of the surrounding. The outside of the place had a large sharp
pointy stockade, follow by a tall brown drawbridge that complimented the scenery
of the dark sky. Once Steven took another step forward to the castle, the drawbridge squeaked. The drawbridge was moving slowly down to the floor. THUD!
The drawbridge came to a halt. All of a sudden, the wooden plank had an inviting
feeling. As Steven walked one step at a time into the warm and fire lit castle, the
drawbridge had a mind of its own and quickly rose and closed. It left Steven
locked up in the castle with no way out. Steven was walking on an old aged carpet
that felt like a one hundred year old antique carpet. Steven looked down at the carpet and saw that the carpet itself had a star pattern in the center. It was a bluish
green star pattern with a center star in the middle. The border of the carpet had
red liquid marks formed around the carpet. The perimeter of the carpet had multiple sharp edges. Steven was careful not to trip on one of the edges otherwise, he
was certain that it could penetrate through his skin.
“I wonder what this place is,” Steven muttered.
As Steven walked down the hall, to what looked like a pile of decayed bones,
he noticed something in the shadows of the castle. It was…..
12
He could not tell what it was. Steven walked a little bit closer to whatever the
thing was. Steven saw that the creature was a dark brown color, with a oval like
body structure. Its tail had an approximate length of ten inches. Steven was too curious that he had the urge to take his left hand and place it on the creature to feel
what it was like. Steven felt a rough skin coat with arrow like and needle- pointed
edges. After that experiment, he quickly raised his hand away from the creature
and decided that it was enough curiosity for now. As Steven took a final step forward, he saw that the thing was a newly, devoured and then regurgitated creature.
Whatever that creature was, the other creature that devoured and then regurgitated it had to be a ten times larger animal than this one had been. Steven passed
the multiple dead creatures and walked further down the hallway to a doubled
door room. He placed both hands and reached for the large ringed handles and
yanked opened the doors as slowly as he could and tried to not make the squeaking sound that most doors made when not greased in a long amount of time. Steven did not want to be caught breaking in on other people’s property. Plus, he had
no clue on how he was getting home. As he finished pulling open the door, there
was a colossal size black leathered colored chair turned so that it was not facing
the dark oak desk.
“Wow!” Steven exclaimed.
“Who goes there!” someone shouted.
“YEEEE!” Steven screamed.
As the chair swiveled around and faced Steven, the creature had a disoriented
sized face and no tissue on its nose. Its eyes were something Steven had never seen
before. For the record, the creature had four eyes. The eyes had ten orange suction
cups attached to what looked to Steven like teeth. It had a black cloak on and its
collar popped up. As the creature stood up on its eight squiggly legs, it then floated
towards Steven. Steven took a better look at the this newly encountered creature
and saw that it had a scar going across its right cheek. It was also wearing what
looked like a necklace the same as the one Steven had saw on the carpet. “Oh, we have visitors. Welcome to Alcyone mortal. The welcoming committee
will be coming shortly,” the creature said with delight. “This world has heard a lot
13
about you. How you had accidently stumbled along our world and vandalized our
property and terrorized our neighborhood. How could such creature do such a
thing,” the creature said.
“Umm, I don’t think that was me,” Steven said. “There must be another person roaming around at this very same world,” Steven objected. “I just arrived a
couple of hours ago. I have no idea where I am and why I am here,” Steven said
with confusion.
“Well, anyways, the Sygilus is waiting for you in the Cryptic right over there,”
the creature said, trying to end their conversation.
Steven walked straight to the entrance that was next to the creature’s desk. The
entrance had a sign that said something but Steven could not understand it.
They must speak a different language too!” Steven thought.
He took a better look at the sign, and it said in very, very, very small letters, “Entrance for Special Mortals”
“Well that’s something you don’t see every day,” Steven muttered to himself.
He placed his power hand, which was his left hand, on the door knob and suddenly,
“YIKES!” Steven screamed as he jumped backwards.
“Why is this door knob so hot!” he demanded.
The creature at the desk answered, “Because the Sygilus likes his room scorching with steam.” “Oh, my bad, I had forgotten to give you this burnoose to wear
when you enter the Syilus’s commission.” “You can’t enter without this burnoose;
otherwise, you may possible burn up and explode due to the amount of heat and
pressure the commission has.”
“Wow, thank you for telling me at this time,” Steven said sarcastically. “By the
way, what is your position of this very commission and what’s your name?” Steven
asked.
14
“I am Zurdok the assistant. I am the one that takes all of Syilus’s demands and
boss the youngsters around. You know, the ones that can’t handle a single job and
have to be told every second of the day,” Zurdok finished saying.
“Yes, I totally understand,” Steven said as he thought back to the time when his
youngest cousin at the age of six came over to his place for the summer and he
had to tell him every second for the day to not go up to his room and touch his action figures and other items in his room. For the most part, he did listen. But, there
was one time during the summer when his cousin had a super duper temper tantrum and decided to storm up to Steven’s room and mess up his made bed by
throwing his sheets to the ground and throwing the pillows against the walls. “Well
nice to meet you Zurdok,” Steven said politely.
“What is your name, young mortal?” Zurdok asked as nicely as he could.
“My name is Steven,” he answered.
“Nice to meet you Steven,” Zurdok announced loudly. It was loud enough for
Steven’s whole town to hear and it was way too loud that it made Steven plug his
ears with his two pointer fingers.
“You have better hurry up; you do not want to keep the big man waiting.”
“Okay, thank you,” Steven said.
This time, Steven had remembered to put on his burnoose. He slipped one
hand into the right sleeve and his other hand into the left sleeve. There was a tie
of some sort, so he took the two ends of the tie and tied a pretty little bowtie. On
his way to the door knob again, he was a bit more hesitant than before. Steven’s
had was shaking as he reached forwards to the door knob. Luckily, Zurdok, the assistant was correct. The heat did not bother Steven anymore. The door knob actually had a cool refrigerated touch to it. Steven twisted the door knob to the right,
but the door knob would not budge. So, Steven tried twisting the door knob to the
left, it still did not work.
“Um, excuse me Zurdok, how do you open this door?” Steven asked.
15
“It is simple, just twist the door knob to the left and pull the door knob towards
you,” Zurdok said.
So, Steven did as he was instructed.
“Turn left and then pull,” Steven repeated to himself. “Wow!” Steven said
amazed, at what had just witnessed.
“Thank you again,” Steven said happily.
The door was opened and Steven started to stroll inside with his hands in the
pockets of the burnoose. He was not prepared for what was in store. As he took a
final step forward toward a large room, Zurdok said some final words to Steven,
“Good luck!” In the back of Steven’s mind, he was thinking about what Zurdok
meant when he had said good luck to him.
“Well, this is probably better than being bugged by your younger sister,” murmured Steven.
When Steven’s body fully entered the large commission, he was right in front
of an extraordinarily large desk with an exceptionally large and thick armchair.
Steven stood there in the open atmosphere of the room and he then felt another
type of existence as well. Steven felt a slight breeze across his dark chestnut colored hair and his hair blew swiftly to the right side of his face.
What was that? he wondered.
The breeze came again and this time, it was stronger and much faster. And, as
the breeze came and went, Steven was able to see a slight shadow in the distance.
The shadow itself had frilly gray hair as if it was not combed in multiple weeks. Its
skin was as pale as the sun-dappled sand of the beach Steven went to every summer with his best friends. This shadow looked more like a ghost than any old
shadow. As the shadow disappeared, there was a humungous creature that lurked
over the thick armchair and sat right on it. The creature took off its black leathered down coat that covered its whole body from top to bottom. Steven recognized
the creature’s tall, ten inch beaver hat that sat comfortably on its head. Uncalled
for, the creature then took off its hat. Underneath that hat was a plumped face of
a half man, half beast. A large bald head complimented his ugly looking face. The
16
creature had five large dilated eyes, each with a different colored pupil. The one
all the way to the right had a semi large green pupil and all the way to the left of
the green pupil was a extra small purple colored pupil. There was one on the top
and the bottom of his face. The top had a dark blue pupil while the bottom had a
contrasting orange color. Finally, the eye that was in the center of his face had a
combination of a black and bloody red pupil. It must be Sygilus Steven whispered to himself quietly.
“Well, what are you waiting for, young mortal, introduce yourself,” demanded
the creature with five eyes.
“My name is Steven Fitzpatrick,” Steven said in a questioning voice.
“We have been waiting for you for a long time,” the beast said in a mysterious
sound. “My name is Sygilus,” the creature said.
Murmur murmur
Murmur murmur
“I am sorry, I did not get what you just said,” Steven had said.
“No, no, I did not say anything,” the beast said trying to hide what he may or
may not have said. “So, what brings you to Alcyone you
ng mortal?” questioned Sygilus. “I do not know. But, I what to know what I am doing here and I do not want to
be here anymore,” As Steven went on about his journey.
Steven went on and on for about an hour about the different types of things he
had encountered on his journey throughout this world. As Steven continued to
babble on and on, the beast or thing started to yawn and fall asleep until Steven finally ended his story with the words, “and then I ended up here.”
The creature woke up by stretching his two arms to the side and opening its
large, disoriented, rotted teeth mouth. Once he opened his mouth, a cloud of
stench blew straight out and under Steven’s nose.
17
“Ugg…” Steven exclaimed. “I mean… Whoa! What was that significant
aroma,” Steven tried to say in a better and more polite tone.
“Uh huh,” Slygilus said while eyeing him in disbelief. “Well, we have better get
to work. Getallyourstuffandletsgetgoing,” Slygilus said in a fast pace. “We got to
start your training. Better sooner than never,” Slygilus said slower and clearer with
a smile on his oddly shaped face.
“Whoa!” Steven said surprised. “What training?” Steven demanded.
“You are here to protect us from the evil Dr. Slaughter,” Slygilus said. “Dr.
Slaughter had brought shame, hatred, and misery to our world,” Slygilus continued. “You and most likely only you is the one that could save this world from the
evil Dr. Slaughter,” Slygilus finished saying.
“What is so special about me that you want me to save your world?” Steven
questioned.
“You would find out later during your time of training,” Slygilus replied.
And so, with that, Slygilus gave a motion to Steven to tell him to get a move on
for his training. Slygilus pointed his large swollen finger that was the size of an
extra-large candy bar to a doubled door passageway. The door itself had a weird
shape to it. It had an oval shaped border with the bottom half of the door being
thinner than toward the top of the door. Steven reached over to the door and
landed a hand on the rough edged and cold handle of the door. Steven glanced
back toward Slygilus and thought, what was I getting myself into. Steven then
twisted and pulled on the handle to open the door and then he entered the room.
18
CHAPTER 6
Training Begins
Once Steven entered the room, he automatically saw a huge mechanical figure
standing literally six feet away from him. Steven gulped and lifted his head higher
to see that the creature in front of him was about ten feet tall. A tremendously
large piece of metal, some bolts, and a large amount of screws were what this
thing was made of. Steven gasped as he quickly felt the room getting darker and
darker until suddenly, he felt that everything around him became still and breathless. Steven slowly opened his two rounded shaped eye lids and saw with his pupils
that not only was he still in this dangerous parallel universe, but he was now in an
area that was all white as well as bright. What surrounded him was a white room
of some sort. There were no doors. There were no windows. There were no other
civilizations of any sort. There were no noises except for the heavy breathing of
Steven’s lungs. He swung his head in three hundred degrees but couldn’t see the
giant machine. Where did it go? he wondered.
“Hello?” Steven whispered.
No one answered.
“Hello?” Steven questioned a bit louder.
Still, there was no noise.
“Hello?” Steven finally questioned in a manageable tone.
There was nothing. Steven was alone. With no one around him and no one to
care for him anymore, Steven wanted to give up and end it forever as he fell to the
ground sobbing. And then…. he heard this loud boom sound. It was coming from
a vast distance away. The sound was getting closer and closer. Steven slowly got to
19
his feet and wiped off those tears of his. Standing firmly with two feet on the
ground, the creature was coming to eye range and Steven was able to make out an
army of at least fifty soldiers of some sort.
“Hup! Two! Three! Four! Hup! Two! Three! Four!” Steven heard the general
say.
“Is it an army that is coming to save me? I bet mom and dad had called the
cops and a whole army came to rescue me,” Steven said relieved.
As the army of soldiers approached Steven in a near twenty feet or so, Steven
was able to recognize that these were not ordinary soldiers from the planet Earth
but probably soldiers from the planet Erianus.
“Okay, I am in trouble now!” Steven said freaking out. “What to do, what to
do,” Steven thought hastily.
But Steven was running out of time. The army was coming closer and closer as
Steven was thinking of a way out of this predicament. Steven had no idea what to
do. He was frozen still in the middle of nowhere until finally, he heard a vague
whisper coming from the top right side of him. The whisper was barely noticeable
but Steven was able to hear the words, “Reach into your pocket and push the purple button and keep it with you the whole time. Never lose this precious item.” So,
with those instructions, Steven went ahead and reached into his right pocket first
but there was nothing. So he tried the next pocket- the one to his left. Again, nothing. He then reached to his back pockets but again there was no item. So, Steven
finally tried his last two pockets which were his two jacket pockets. Steven had on a
bright red jacket with a hood attached to it. There, inside the right jacket pocket,
Steven pulled out a concrete, silver- colored, timepiece that contained Roman numerals and had a pretty, shiny, and sparkly style to it. This item that Steven held
tightly in the palm of his left hand had multiple buttons. Steven searched the timepiece and found a purple rectangular button. This button seemed unsafe but the
army was feets away from reaching Steven. Oh no! Watch out! One of the soldiers
of the army took out its sharp pointed blade and was about to slice it through Steven starting at the right side of Steven and ending at the left side of him so Steven’s reaction told him to push the purple rectangular button. Zhooooooop! Ste20
ven was transported to another area. This time, Steven felt safer than where he
was before. He looked around him and saw that his surroundings were not a
whole white area anymore but he was standing on a type of platform that looked
like a teleportation device. There were different lightings on the floor beneath Steven. On the back wall behind Steven was a crescent shaped border with five hexagon shapes in front of the half- moon border. The whole contraption seemed to be
made up of different types of metals. Steven could tell that there were some metals such as Aluminium, Chromium, Copper, Iron, Lead, Magnesium, Manganese,
Mercury, Gold, Nickel, Platinum, Tin, Titanium, Zinc, and many others. To Steven’s right, there was this device that he had never seen before. It was all touch
screen and the screen had a yellow border to it with a color coded list of different
things. Then, Steven noticed that he was wearing some kind of sunglasses with a
tinted shade to it. It was like the one’s Steven had in his own world. Steven was
able to see out of that type of sunglasses but others would not be able to see Steven’s eyes. To Steven’s left, there was a target looking thing that seemed to have a
red bull's-eye in the center of the circle. It looked more like a game of some sort
rather than any high tech appliance. Steven took one step down from the highest
platform, then another step down from the next platform.
"Good job out there,” a voice said behind large and tall cabinet that looked like
a cabinet that stored medications.
"Who said that?" Steven questioned. Steven walked over to the tall cabinet and
looked behind it but saw nothing.
“Down here,” said the voice.
Steven peered down to see a tiny creature that was only inches tall. This creature barely reached the height of Steven’s sand colored hand. This creature had
an orange yellow striped kimono with a ragged brown colored pants. This creature’s skin was dark colored with two pointed ears sticking diagonally outwards.
The color of the inside of the ears had a dark purple color and the border had a
pale white color as if there were no circulation going to those parts of the ear.
This creature also had a long wagging tail. The tail had a touch of yellow color to
the bottom of the tail but was mostly filled will the color purple. This creature also
21
had very sharp and pointed nails on its ten fingers and its ten toes. Steven also recognized that in the back of this creature, it had two types of swords; they both
looked like samurai swords to Steven. Moving further up this creature’s body was
his hideous looking face. It contained five whiskers on either side of its face and a
large devious smile in the center of its face. Its eyes were a darker lime green color;
more like pine green colored and they were facing inwards on a fifty degrees angle.
It had spiky long hair with a different color of hair that went down the middle of
its head.
“Who are you?” Steven asked. “My name is Spike. I would be your instructor throughout your training for
your success,” the creature announced.
Surprisingly, this Spike creature was the closest to what looked like a crossbreed
between a regular human from the planet Earth and a regular cat from the planet
Earth. So, Steven started to feel home sick and he started to miss his mom, dad,
younger sister, Aaron, and Anastasia. Spike led Steven to a room that looked like
one of the exercise gyms Steven had in his old elementary school. “This is where you would be training for the next two to three months,” Spike
said.
“What training would I be doing?” Steven questioned.
“You would start by training your body strength. Right now, you look like a
scrawny twig. You would not even survive one fight against the Xander Morpheus
army,” Spike stated.
“Who’s the Xander Morpheus army?” Steven requested. “Are they dangerous?” Steven questioned again.
“I shall tell you more about the Xander Morpheus army when the time is
right,” Spike said. “If you succeed in all training for the next three months, then I
would consider telling you about the Xander Morpheus army; but for now, all you
need to concentrate on is your training,” Spike said.
22
Spike stuck one long nailed finger in his mouth and cupped it while blowing
hard at it. All of a sudden, Spike was not all that tiny anymore, he was taller and
thinner. He was almost two heads taller than Steven.
“Woah,” Steven said shocked.
“You did not think I could do such a thing did you, youngster? Did you?” Spike
said.
“Nope not at all. What other cool things can you do?” Steven asked.
And with that, Spike started to show Steven all kinds of cool tricks he was able
to do. Spike showed Steven his ability to spin in a rapid circular motion and create
a storm. Another type of trick Spike did was shooting fire lasers out the sides of
his pointed ears. But, Spike reminded Steven that because Steven was human, he
would not be able to do these tricks. On the other hand, Steven would be able to
do different things that the other creatures were not able to do.
“So, what will my next months of training be like Spike?” Steven asked.
“Well, it will be a combination of hard work and fun exercises,” Spike answered. “You know what, there is someone I would like you to meet. Actually,
there are four people I want you to meet.”
“Wait, you are saying that there are other humans, exactly like me on this same
planet!” Steven said excitedly.
“No not exactly. The “people” I want you to meet are actually going to be your
trainers for the next three months. They would be training you for the big war.”
Spike answered to Steven.
“Oh. That kind of makes more sense,” Steven said once more. “Why would
anyone else be on this planet besides me cause I was dragged here against my
will,” Steven said trailing off into his own little world.
As Steven finished talking to himself, there were four different looking creatures
that actually looked like robots.
23
CHAPTER 7
Training Ends
24
Spike stuck one long nailed finger in his mouth and cupped it while blowing
hard at it. All of a sudden, Spike was not all that tiny anymore, he was taller and
thinner. He was almost two heads taller than Steven.
“Woah,” Steven said shocked.

As Steven finished talking to himself, there were four different looking creatures
that actually looked like robots. The robots walked closer and closer and closer to
Steven. Each one of them looked like they had their own personality.
25
“The first robot is named T.H.E.O.D.O.R.E. T.H.E.O.D.O.R.E stood for Technician Hardwired for Efficient Observation, Dangerous Obliteration and Rational
Exploration. The next robot to the left of T.H.E.O.D.O.R.E., named
T.H.E.L.O.N.I.O.U.S. T.H.E.L.O.N.I.O.U.S stood for Transforming Handcrafted
Entity Limited to Online Nullification, Immediate Observation and Ultimate
Sabotage. The third robot that stood next to T.H.E.L.O.N.I.O.U.S., his name was
P.R.E.S.C.O.T.T. P.R.E.S.C.O.T.T. stood for Positronic Robotic Entity Skilled in
Calculation, Observation and Thorough Troubleshooting. The last and final robot
stood all the way to the left and his name was B.A.L.T.H.A.Z.A.R.
B.A.L.T.H.A.Z.A.R. stood for Biomechanical Artificial Lifeform Trained for Hazardous Assassination, Zoology and Accurate Repair,” Spike finally finished saying.
“Let us start your wonderful and useful training. As hours, days, weeks, and finally
months went by, Steven’s training was completed. “Now that your training has finished and you have succeeded, you may want to
know what I meant about going to war with the Xander Morpheus army.
26
CHAPTER 8
The History of Xander
Morpheus’s Army
It all started when we were all a good and well bonded happy family. But all that
turned dark. It is all a tissue of lies. We once trusted them but they turned against
us and wanted more power. So, since the two hundreds, we have been at war will
them to fight for what was rightfully ours,” Spike finally finished saying.
“Wow. What a life and what pain you guys had to endure for so long of a
time,” Steven said half speechless.
“Well, anyways, now that I have told you about the Xander Morpheus army
you should take out that timepiece of yours so you can go into your next stage in
getting ready to fight against the Xander Morpheus. Do not forget that it would
be only you against the army; one against hundreds, maybe thousands. But do not
get scared or worried,” Spike finally said.
Steven pressed the button that was next to the purple button he had pushed the
very first time. This time the button was green and so he pushed the button.
Zuuuup! Zeeeep! Ziiiiip!
“Ouch! Where am I this time?” Steven questioned.
“Whi, ello mate!” said a voice near the corner at the bushes area. “Who sent
you here? Are you part of the Xander Morpheus army to take over my land?”
“A… no sir,” Steven said. “My name is Steven Fitzpatrick and I was sent by
Spike to finish my training to fight the Xander Morpheus army,” Steven continued.
27
“Well, mate, you should have said that before,” said the fellow near the bushes.
“My um, name is, um….. Ziggy Loki,” Ziggy had said. “You are not quite here
for any such training. You are more likely here to get the list of ingredients for defeating the Xander Morpheus army and the poem to beat the Xander Morpheus
army. Am I correct or incorrect?” Ziggy asked.
“You are preciously correct,” Steven said wondering if he was correct or not.
“Well, here you go,” Ziggy said handing him a fifty feet long list of ingredients
and a very, very, very, very long poem.
“How would I find all these items in a short amount of time?” Steven asked.
“You are in luck, young fellow,” said Ziggy Loki. “You do not need to look any
further than right here to your left. Right over there is a large magical sack that is
lightweight yet it would carry all the items you would need to defeat the Xander
Morpheus army. You would also need to carry a small cauldron to mix all the ingredients together.

“Now, what will all these ingredients do to the Xander Morpheus army?”
“Umm, well, if you are in serious trouble, then use it. If you are okay where
you are, make sure you put it away and keep it in a safe place.” Ziggy Loki said.
“This recipe would make the Xander Morpheus army forget who they are and in
a few minutes they die due to their lost of memory. Another way the Xander Morpheus army could die is due to the lack of oxygen they would get, the army members would explode into trillions of tiny pieces. The outcome of the concoction
should have an acidic feeling in the cauldron. “You must recite this poem as well
as you mix together the ingredients to fight back the Xander Morpheus army.
Here is a copy of the poem you must recite for an hour,” said Ziggy Loki.
“What! One hour of reciting a poem! I could barely stay awake during english
class and you want me to recite this one hour long poem! Impossible! Impossible!
Impossible!” Steven complained. “One more thing, if you find the secret recipe, then you can possibly go back to
your mortal world,” announced Ziggy Loki.
33
“What is the secret recipe?” questioned Steven.
“Rumor has it..” Ziggy Loki. “If you find the most powerful mortal that ran
away months ago, she would know where to get the secret recipe. But, know one
really knows what the recipe contains.” Ziggy Loki finally added.
The Poem to Victory

The World at the
Other End of the
Universe
Meanwhile, 69,000,000 miles away from the planet Erianus, was the planet
Earth. In the warm and cozy home of the Fitzpatrick family, it was a chaotic seen.
Everyone was starting to get up and get packing for the long journey ahead. As Steven’s older sister opened the front door to get the morning mail, Steven’s mom
yells upstairs to wake Steven up but there was no answer.
“He is the one that wants to see his pen pal and he doesn’t even get up, what is
with that boy these days,” Steven’s mom said quietly.
So, Steven’s mom told her daughter to check upstairs to see if Steven is still
sleeping.
“I will check in a second,” Steven’s sister called out.
As Steven’s sister reached out to get the mail, she felt a thick package. She
opened the package and this was what was inside:
1. A long, long, long letter in a different language
2. Two sets of clothes that look like from out of this world
3. A jar of weird, slimy things
Steven’s sister decided to open the letter and this is what it said:
