We had a great response to our SMS last
week regarding payments for swimming and
school fees and again we appreciate your
support.
The Reception to Year 5 Swimming is
happening next week. This causes a huge
amount of disruption to bell times and
programs. Every year we have lots of items
left at the pool including clothing and
equipment. Please check your child’s bag
each day to make sure they have everything
they need and that there are no missing items.

From the Principal – Katherine Holman
This week the newsletter has been distributed on
Thursday due to an Administration server upgrade.
We are expecting to have our computers in the
Administration building down for the day this Friday.
We hope disruption to our normal operation can be
minimised but apologise for any inconvenience this
may cause.
It was great to see so many people at the Harmony
Day Assembly. The group of children that sang the
Harmony Day song that Mr C wrote did a wonderful
job. All the children looked fantastic in their orange
and other bright colours. The shared lunch on the
oval was also very enjoyable and a great way to
celebrate coming together and acknowledge
diversity. Thanks for your support.
Interviews
Please make sure you have sent your form
back requesting a time to meet with your
child/children’s teacher. Confirmation slips
will be sent out in Week 9 this term.
Interviews are normally well attended at our
school and we look forward to seeing as many
of you as possible. If you wish to book a time
with a specialist teacher (Music, PE or
Chinese) to discuss your child / children’s
progress or attitude please don’t hesitate to
contact them directly to make a time.
Interviews are a great opportunity to find out
information about your children’s academic
progress as well as the effort they put in. It
allows you to exchange information with the
teacher and work together to support your
children to achieve at the best of their ability.
Governing Council
Our first Governing Council meeting since the
AGM and election of our new Council will be
held next Tuesday. The meeting starts at
7.30pm and finishes at 9.00pm. A crèche will
be provided in the OSHC building. Children
"Excellence and Care"
using the crèche will need to be picked up no later
than 9.00pm. The Agenda, Principal’s Report and
Minutes from the AGM will be distributed by email.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PARENTS
As you would be aware local councils are required to monitor and enforce parking restrictions within their Council areas, which
includes parking restrictions around schools.
We have published a copy of the Council information as it may help parents and friends to understand the requirements around
these locations, and ensure a safe environment for all.
More information can be found on the City of Salisbury website at, www.salisbury.sa.gov.au
