...remembers NATIONAL PREGNANCY & INFANT LOSS
REMEMBRANCE DAY
Special points of interest:
On Oct 18, Highland Memorial Park in Ocala,
FL hosted its’ first annual Always in My Heart
Walk of Remembrance & Bubble Release in
recognition of national Pregnancy & Infant
Loss Remembrance Day. 42 guests attended.
Each participant in the walk received a ribbon
on which to write their child’s name on and
carry with them. Upon finishing the half mile
route through beautiful, historic Highland
Memorial Park, walkers filed up to attach
ribbons to a memorial wreath. Pink, blue and
yellow ribbons will be available for
participants.
To make the remembrance a positive
experience for any children who attended,
Highland Memorial Park provided a variety of
bubble wands and bubble blowers for the
children to use to honor their loved ones and
siblings.
Special points of interest:
On Oct 19, McGuinness Community Care
hosted a Harvest of Memories event where
guests heard stories from the year their
loved one was born and then a member of
each family received a beautifully framed
collage scrapbook-type memento.
“A flute player who once played with the
New York Philharmonic delighted us with
two gorgeous renditions of "Dance of the
Blessed Spirits" and "In Remembrance of
Me." The invited speaker spoke on how we
can learn not to fear our emotions, whether
happy or sad. Guests then enjoyed light
refreshments and fellowship after the
event.”

Excerpt from an update on the
Carter-Trent Church Hill Fall Gospel Sing...
“Our 1st Annual Fall Gospel Sing was a HUGE
SUCCESS. Our chapel seats 162 approximately in the
pews and we added about 45 chairs— the place was
packed out. Everyone truly enjoyed the music and
fellowship. The members of the Hawkins County Color
Guard were all present and all veterans and active
military were recognized as a part our charity for the
event. The singing lasted from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm and
there was a capacity crowd for the full length of the
event. It being a religious event, I will have to say it
seemed as if everyone (staff included) received a great
blessing from the singing and fellowship. We had 8
families enquire about our preneed services which our
family advisor is working on as we speak.
It was also very nice to see the staff from all 3 of our
locations working together to make this event go over
so well. Thank you to everyone from FPG on down
who made this possible. “

Dear Elisha & Team McGuinness...
I wanted to let you know that you are the FIRST Funeral Home in
our region to run a blood drive and now you have a proven track
record of success! On behalf of the American Red Cross, please
accept my thanks and congratulations on a very successful blood
drive on December 2, 2014. As you know, we had 19 people
register to donate and actually collected 17 donations.

“Special Thank you to ALL the staff that assisted in the
Community Outreach Events for this quarter. I really
appreciate all the support and kindness. It may not seem
like a lot but I know first-hand what kind of impact we are
making on the community through this program (It’s
Phenomenal).”
