This Addendum is hereby made part of the Plans and Project Manual dated June 16, 2010 for the
above referenced project. The provisions of this Addendum are intended to supplement the
provisions of the Plans and Project Manual and/or supersede them where contradictory thereto.
This Addendum contains changes to the requirements of the Plans and Project Manual. Such
changes shall be incorporated into the Plans and Project Manual and shall apply to work with the
same meaning and force as if they had been included in the original Plans and Project Manual.
Where this Addendum modifies a portion of a paragraph or phrase of the Project Manual, the
remaining unmodified portion of the paragraph or phrase shall remain in force.
The conditions and terms of the Plans and Project Manual shall govern work described in this
Addendum. Whenever the conditions of work, or the quality or quantity of materials or
workmanship are not fully described in this Addendum, the conditions of work etc. included in the
Plans and Project Manual for similar items of work shall apply to the work described in this
Addendum. If no similar items of work are included in the Plans and Project Manual, the quality of
material and workmanship shall be subject to the written acceptance of the Architect.

Meeting minutes from the Pre-Bid Meeting held on June 24, 2010 are attached and are a part of this
Addendum. In the event of a conflict between the information contained in the Pre-Bid Meeting
Notes and the Drawings, Specifications and responses to questions contained in this
Addendum, the latter shall take precedence.

Addenda
Expected to be issued via fax or UPS (depending on size) on the following dates subject to
number and substance of questions received:
a) Addendum No. 1 – Tuesday, June 29, 2010; Will include Pre-Bid Meeting Minutes
b) Addendum No. 2 – Monday, July 12, 2010, if needed
1.7
Prevailing Wage Rate Project – Refer to Spec. Section 00820.
1.8
The Building Permit will be obtained and paid for by Owner. Any other trade specific permits, such
as Sprinkler Permit, the Contractor must obtain.
1.9
Scope of Work
The work will be performed under a Single Prime Contract and consists of interior
renovations to approximately 5,000 square feet of tenant space in an existing building. The
work will entail selective demolition to non-structural interior partitions, tenant separation
CMU wall, and MEP systems. It will include interior framing and all wall, ceiling, and floor
finishes to create office and reception areas, minor structural framing for mezzanine, and the
extension and modification of mechanical and electrical systems from adjacent space to
serve the new offices. It will also require modifications to the existing sprinkler system.
1.10 There is one (1) alternate which includes the removal of the existing storefront windows and
masonry wall from the existing sill to the floor level and replacing it with a new storefront within an
enlarged opening.

1.11 Contractors may not stage materials inside the work area. Contractors must provide storage trailers
or any other means and methods for storing their materials.
1.12 Contractors must provide their own on-site office and storage trailers. Trailers may be placed at the
East end of parking lot, at the end of the loading dock drive. Power may be taken from the panel in
loading dock area. Contractors must supply conduit through the loading dock to the outside wall with
a 100amp disconnect located on the wall behind the loading dock stairs (power to trailer from this
location), which will remain intact after job is finished.
1.13 The General Contractor is required to create a construction schedule. The construction schedule
must appear as a line item on the schedule of values. The schedule must be submitted by the
Contractor and approved by Eastern PCM prior to the first request for payment. No payments will be
made until the Contractor has an approved construction schedule for the project.
1.14 Working Hours
a) 6:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
b) Contractors must plan for Demolition to be performed during Night Work. Night work
hours may range from 6:00pm to 6:00am.
1.15 Contractors are not allowed to use the HACC restrooms and must provide their own.
1.16 The building is occupied on both sides of the area being renovated.
1.17 HACC will be removing the following items prior to start of construction:
a) The Kitchenette
b) All Track Lighting
The Contractor does not have to salvage any items for HACC.
1.18 The Contractor will salvage the existing light fixtures for possible use for temporary lighting. If not
used they may discarded at end of job.
1.19 Deliveries may only be made from 6:00am to 8:00am or after 4:30pm on weekdays. Deliveries may
be accepted anytime on weekends.
1.20 The sidewalk in front of the Cytec Building cannot be obstructed. This is the only ADA access to the
HACC York Campus Cytec Building.
