“ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA HE IS RISEN”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, this is the day that we celebrate our Lord’s victory over sin and death. This is the day of his Glorious
Resurrection on that first Easter Morning. May the joy of that first Easter be in our hearts, in our minds and in our souls today and
everyday during this Holy Easter Season. May God bless each of us and our families on this Easter Day. Let us pray that all people
throughout the world will know the peace and joy that fills our hearts on this day. We invite you as Disciples of Christ to share
the Good News with your family, friends, neighbors and all those you meet today and everyday. Our Lord’s victory is for all
creation and our mission is to proclaim this message of love and peace and joy to all.
Brothers and Sisters throughout the season of Lent we have been preparing for this glorious Feast of Easter by prayer, fasting and
alms giving. Our Lenten fasting was a reminder of our hunger and thirst for holiness which is satisfied only by Our Lord, Jesus
Christ, who feeds and nourishes us with His own Body and Blood. As we gather at our meals during this Easter Season may the
food of our Easter Meal be a sign for us of that heavenly banquet to which the Lord calls us. Once again we offer you a prayer to
be said with your family during the Easter Season.

God of Glory,
The eyes of all turn to you during this Easter Season
as we celebrate Christ's glorious victory over sin and death.
O Lord we ask You, who blessed the five loaves in the desert and fed the five thousand, give us this day our daily
bread, the bread for life’s needs.
May we who gather at the Lord’s Table
continue to celebrate the joy of his resurrection
and be admitted to the Heavenly Banquet.
O Lord, bless our family, our friends and all those in need.
We ask you to bless us O Lord and these your gifts, of our Easter meal which we are about to receive from your
bounty through Christ our Lord. Rx. Amen

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
The Archdiocese is once again preparing the annual tradition of
honoring those couples in the Archdiocese who will be
celebrating five and twenty-five years of Christian marriage in
2014. The anniversary liturgy will be celebrated by Archbishop
John J. Myers in the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in
Newark at 3:00 pm on May 4th (deadline for reservations is

YOUTH MINISTRY
Youth Group meets every Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 pm in the
Youth Room. All teens in grades 6-12 are invited. Come and
bring a friend!

FEAST OF OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL is
celebrated this Saturday, April 26th.
DAILY MASS - There will be no 7:30 am Mass on Monday
and Tuesday of this week.
SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION will be celebrated
next Sunday, April 27th, at the 12:00 pm Mass in the Marian
Center.
PARISH FOOD COLLECTION - Let’s not forget our food
pantry. There is still a great need for nonperishable food, paper products, personal
hygiene items, etc. And as always monetary
donations are accepted and turned into Shoprite
gift cards. The suggested donation for the week
of April 27th is Soups.

PRAYER INTENTION FOR THE WEEK OF April 20th
We are free to celebrate and worship our Lord at Easter without
fear or threat of death. Let us pray this week for our brothers
and sisters who are suffering for the faith. May they one day be
free to worship and celebrate Easter openly and without fear.

ST. ANDREW’S CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC PRAYER
GROUP will host the Marian movie “Time for Mercy” in the
Parish Center on Monday, April 21st. Actor Joseph Campanella
offers a candid and compelling narrative of a Polish nun and
mystic, St. Faustina, which includes the authentic, extraordinary
message of Mercy given her by Jesus to share with the world.
Please join us in viewing and sharing the message of Divine
Mercy as preparation for the celebration of the Feast of Divine
Mercy on Sunday, April 27th, at 2:00 pm at St. Andrew’s
Church. The April 21st evening will start with the recitation of
the Rosary, a brief time of praise, the “Time for Mercy” Video
and conclude with prayers of intercession. All are welcome.
