Printout of crown template
Tape
12-by-12-in. sheet of card stock
Scissors
Metallic gold scrapbook paper
Pink and cream crepe paper streamers
Needle and pink thread to match pink streamer
White glue
Gold glitter
How to make it
1. Print out and attach crown pieces together with tape at dotted lines. Place the crown template
diagonally on the sheet of card stock and cut out.
2. Cut 5 flames from the gold scrapbook paper using templates provided. Glue the flames behind
the tips of the crown.
3. Cut a piece of the pink streamer about 24 inches long. Fold it in half lengthwise. Sew a long,
running stitch down the center of the streamer along the fold, and then pull on the thread to
gather the streamer until the streamer is about 14 inches long and ruffled.
4. Glue the gathered streamer to the base of the crown at the fold.
5. Cut a 2-inch piece of pink streamer. Pinch it together along 1 side to form a fan shape. Glue
the pinched side of the fan shape to the backside of a side crown tip. Repeat for all 4 side
crown tips.
6. For the center crown tip, cut 2, 3-inch pieces of pink streamer. Pinch and glue 1 to the backside
of the center crown tip. Repeat with the second piece, layering it behind the first piece.
7. Cut a piece of the cream streamer also about 24 inches long. Fringe the length of the streamer
with your scissors. Glue the streamer to the backside of the crown top behind the other decorations to fill in, so that about ¼ to ½ inch of the fringe is showing.
8. Add large dots of glue to the tips of the crown and cover with gold glitter. Let dry.
9. Once all your decorations are dry and in place, glue the ends of the crown to each other and
hold in place until dry.
