September 29 – October 3, 2015
September 29 – October 3, 2015
Buena Vista Palace Hotel and Spa
Orlando, Florida
The 2015 Upholstery and Trim Convention
Attended by most of the major manufacturers,
distributors and jobbers in the upholstery and trim
industry, the convention continues to be the place to be
for networking and doing business. The one-on-one
meetings are the core of the UTI Convention, permitting
vendors and customers to hold private meetings, without
the cost and inefficiencies of a trade show booth.
Come see where
the magic happens in the
upholstery and trim business
by attending the
2015 UTI Convention!
1
CONVENTION EVENTS
Appointment-Making Website
Again this year, both wholesalers and exhibitors will be able to schedule their one-on-one meetings before they arrive in Orlando. The website will be open to exhibitors on July 15. All registered wholesalers will
have access to the site on Sept. 15 in order to begin making their
appointments. Exhibitors should attempt to register before the early
bird deadline, Aug. 28, 2015, in order to make sure that their sites are
up and running before the wholesalers begin making appointments.
Exhibitor/Wholesaler Conferences
Wednesday, Sept. 30 – Friday, Oct. 2
The centerpiece of the convention is the one-on-one private sessions
that provide attendees the opportunity to sit down with their most
important suppliers and customers to learn what is new and, most
importantly, to do business! Please note that this year, the one-onones will once again begin on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. rather
than on Thursday as it has been in the past. The Wednesday afternoon session will take the place of the Saturday sessions, permitting
attendees to complete their one-on-ones on Friday and enjoy their
Saturday, hopefully participating in the UTI Tennis Tournament.
Hospitality Center
The Hospitality Center will be located in the same area as the suites
where the one-on-one meetings will be taking place. The Hospitality
Center provides attendees a place to meet, relax and enjoy refreshments between appointments.
Chairman’s Opening Reception & Dinner
Wednesday, Sept. 30, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
The convention always gets off to a great start at the Chairman’s
Opening Reception & Dinner. The event provides a first opportunity
for attendees to get together with friends and business associates.
The event further offers a chance to welcome new attendees to the
convention. The evening will feature a presentation of the segment’s
highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award, to Dick Ackaway for
his contributions to the segment and the industry.
2
Convention Speaker Lunch and General Session
Thursday, Oct. 1, 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
How to work and market to millennials will be highlighted during
Thursday’s General Session. Attendees at this luncheon will have the
opportunity to hear from millennial and generational expert Hannah
Ubl, Bridgeworks LLC. Ubl will use a healthy blend of stories and
stats to help UTI attendees gain a deeper understanding of the different generations. In addition, Ubl’s research has unearthed valuable
tips and actionable solutions for multi-generational workplaces, and
key strategies for marketing and reaching more generationally-diverse
client bases.
Networking Dinner at Epcot Center
Thursday, Oct. 1, 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Attendees at the 2015 Upholstery and Trim International Convention will be treated to a special Thursday evening reception at Epcot
Center. As part of this event, attendees will have a dinner reception at
the American Adventure Rotunda. Following dinner, guests will be escorted to the Isle de France for a VIP dessert party while experiencing
the park’s magnificent fireworks show, “IllumiNations: Reflections of
Earth.”
Closing Reception
Friday, Oct. 2, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
The Friday evening reception provides one last opportunity to network with other convention attendees. The reception is a great way to
begin your evening whether you are going out with friends or meeting
associates out in the Orlando area.

and 94 bunkers — providing plenty of challenges for novices and seasoned pros alike.
Ardwyn Binding Spouse/Guest Breakfast
Thursday, Oct. 1, 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
This event provides an opportunity for spouses and guests to enjoy
a casual breakfast, catch up with old friends and make new ones.
Prizes and gifts for attendees and the opportunity to hear about local
attractions of Orlando will be some of the highlights of the event.
Quality Thread & Notions Tennis Tournament
Saturday, Oct. 3, 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Whether you are a pro or a beginner, the UTI tennis tournament at
the Grand Cypress Tennis & Racquet Club is always a great way to
spend some casual time with attendees. In addition to a great morning of tennis, both Quality Thread & Notions and CGPC will donate
$50 for each player to the American Diabetes Association. There will
be refreshments at the courts and a lunch to follow. So spend an
extra day in Orlando and enjoy a morning with your friends and
colleagues playing tennis for a good cause.
Dress code is casual for all events.

in the 2015 Auto Care Association Upholstery and Trim International
Convention. Participants may include only wholesalers, distributors,
manufacturers and manufacturers’ representatives. Compliance
with the below is mandatory to participate in the convention.
1. The exhibitors’ registration fee entitles
eligible participating exhibitors to represent
only those product lines that these
firms manufacturer and/or warehouse,

may attend only if they represent the
exhibitors in attendance that they
regularly represent throughout the year
and if the member representative has
paid the required registration fee.
3. Manufacturers’ representatives are not
permitted to represent and/or sell for any
unregistered firm that they regularly represent,
and any attempt to do so will result in the
violator being barred immediately from
participation in the UTI Convention for a period
of no less than one year.
4. Attempts by unregistered firms or
individuals to sell their products to registered
wholesalers and distributors, or attempts by
unregistered wholesalers or others to buy

Association UTI Committee member for
appropriate action.
