Fudge story
Fudge is born from a fudge!
The origins of Fudge allegedly revolve around
a Toffee recipe gone wrong. Whilst demonstrating
the process, a College Lecturer did not heat the
concoction to the correct temperature, and Fudge
was born! Hence the term “fudge” being used
today to describe a mistake.

The characteristic texture is achieved by heating
the ingredients and then beating them as they cool
to remove sugar crystals and achieve the smooth,
creamy texture we all associate with Fudge.
All our fudge is produced in small batches in open
boiling pans. It’s only in this way we can guarantee
that really crumbly melt in the mouth texture.
