Preventative treatment
is recommended and it is
best to apply the garden
fungicide prior to the
initial symptoms of the
disease being observed.
Maintaining your lawn this summer!
“Use the Hessian Bag
Test for Lawn Grub :
place a wet hessian bag
on your lawn over night
and check in the early
morning—the culprits
should have appeared.”
A great tip to keep your
lawn looking healthy and
green in the hot months
of summer is to raise the
mowing height a notch
or two, which makes it
harder for the weeds to
grow, and gives the grass
roots a chance to grow
deeper, helping in times
of drought and water
restrictions.
Lawn Grubs can cause
devastation to your
beautiful lawns before
you're even aware of
their presence.
To treat, use Searles
Lawn Grub Killer. You
may need to repeat
application every 4-5
weeks over the season.
Chillies — “Grow „em while they‟re hot!”
Often used in Thai and
South East Asian cuisine,
Chillies can be used to
bring any dish to life!
Add some homegrown
chillies to make your
Thai Beef Salad out of
this world.
Planted in a full sun
position, Chilli plants put
on a stunning show with
abundant crops of
purple, red, green and
yellow fruits.
Easy to grow in
vegetable gardens they
also perform extremely
well in pots where they
add a splash of colour to
verandahs, patios and
balconies.
Did you know a chilli
grower from the NSW
Central Coast has
produced what is
believed to be the worlds
hottest chilli. Link to
