A message from the
Chairman of the Board
Dear Fellow Chamber Members,
It is hard to believe that the 2015-2016 Chamber year is half
way over. The next six months provide us with some wonderful
opportunities to grow and promote our businesses. Whether an
afterhours mixer, golf tournament, board meeting or monthly
luncheon, our common purpose and bond brings us all together;
making our community stronger and a better place to do business.
Kudos to the golf committee for coordinating a sold out Spring
Classic Golf Tournament. We had great Chamber weather to go
along with 150 golfers, dozens of volunteers and sponsors to make
for a super successful event!
Three important upcoming events that should go on your calendar
include Leadercast Clear Lake on May 6th, the Business & Wellness
EXPO on May 12th & Leadership Clear Lake, accepting applications
now with courses beginning in August.
The nearly sold out 29th Annual Buy Into Bay Area Business &
Wellness EXPO will again be hosted at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
We are grateful to Houston Methodist St. John for returning as our
Exclusive Wellness Sponsor. Established businesses and new business
alike will be there to share their expertise and give away lots of goodies. You don’t want to miss it!
Leadership Clear Lake sign up deadline is May 31st. We have meaningful testimonies from past attendees
that praise the course, speakers, trips and camaraderie that takes place when young business professionals
come together. This is your opportunity to make an investment in the future of our business community.
If you have not jumped in and gotten involved these first 6 months, it is not too late. Check out the
Chamber website, attend a mixer or luncheon. Remember, you will only get out of your chamber what
you put into it. Look around at the successful companies in our community and the Bay Area, you can bet
