universe of
empowerment
Display-based interface—
More features, fewer keys
How do you increase the number of
features while making sure that the
phone is simple to use? By moving the
center of control from the keys to a
large, clear display that establishes a
new standard for display-based user
interfaces. Features, options, and
applications are easily accessible with
interactive soft keys that move you
quickly to the choices you want.
Self-labeling keys—
Selections the easy way
All display-based M3900 phones
feature self-labeling keys. As soon as
the phone is plugged in, the system
automatically turns on the proper label
in the display next to each key. And
when you change extensions or add
new features, their labels are instantly
updated, making administration quick
and easy. Self-labeling keys also enable
users to personalize their feature key
labels, helping to enhance productivity
even further.
“Smart” Mute—
Protects your privacy
With the “Smart” Mute feature, the
M3900 series phone automatically
senses whether you’re using the handset, headset, or handsfree, and mutes
the correct path—helping you be sure
your private comments stay private.
With “Smart” Mute, you can also
listen in on a conference call while
you work on other tasks, without
distracting the conference with extraneous background sounds.
Call Log—
Automatic call diary
The convenient new Call Log feature
displays a list of incoming and outgoing calls so you can see who has called
and review calls made from your
phone. For added convenience, you
can redial from the lists and copy
names and numbers into your
Personal Directory.
You can copy names and numbers
directly from the Call Party Name
Display to your Personal Directory.
Redial List. An optional PC Utility
lets you create a directory on your PC
and then download it to your phone.
The M3900 series also provides the
platform for access to LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)
compatible systems or corporate
directory services.
Call Log shows incoming and outgoing calls. You can use this for redial,
and you can copy numbers into
your Personal Directory
Personal Directory—

with? The new Personal Directory
stores up to 100 entries and lets you
