Local Rules
1. OUT OF BOUNDS - A ball is out of bounds if it lies:
Beyond the nearest inside point at ground level of the white posts
bounding the course. Beyond any fence or trees bounding the course.
On or beyond any public highway.
2. DROP ZONE - 1st Constable:
If there is a chance that the ball may be lost outside the Lateral Water
Hazard, then the player must play a provisional ball under Rule 27-2.
If the player does not do so, he/she should go forward to search for
said ball and if it then transpires that there is reasonable evidence that
the ball is in the Lateral Water Hazard, the player may drop under
Rule 26-1, or as an additional option, drop with the Drop Zone for a
one stroke penalty. Once a new ball is dropped it becomes the ball in
play irrespective of whether or not the original ball is subsequently found.
6. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (GUR) - as well as items marked GUR
in the following areas the player must take relief, without penalty, under
Rule 25.1

Molehills, compacted tractor ruts old or new.
Bunkers with green keeper workings being carried out.
7. DISTANCE & MEASURING DEVICES

measure distance only.

that might affect a player’s play (eg wind or gradient) is not permitted.

rest in or on an aeration hole, may be lifted without penalty, cleaned
