Before removing any parts from your truck, please compare the items you have received with the packing list
provided to verify that you have everything necessary to install your new XDP Duramax LLY EGR Delete.

legal in ANY state. This product cannot be used on any vehicle that is registered or certified for highway use.

Ensure that the vehicle has not been in use and that the engine is cool to the touch. Always wear eye
protection when working on any vehicle.

Step 1: Disconnect the negative
battery cables.
Step 2: Remove the passenger side
inner fender.
Step 3: Remove the coolant tank
cap.
Step 4: Place a drain pan under the
passenger side of the radiator.
Step 5: Use a funnel to direct the
coolant when removing the drain
plug as coolant will evacuate
quickly.

Step 6: Remove the resonator and
intake tube.
Step 7: Remove the reusable zip tie
on the intake bridge that holds
down the wiring harness.
Step 8: Remove the EGR actuator
connector.

Step 9: Remove the wiring harness
bracket connected to the stud on
the intake horn using a 12mm
socket.
Step 10: Gently pull the wiring
harness towards the front of the
truck.
Step 11: Loosen the CAC boot clamp
closest to the intake bridge.
Step 12: Remove the bolt holding
down the PCV hose to the valve
cover on the passenger side of the
engine with a 10mm socket.

Step 13: Use needle nose pliers to
remove the spring clamp on the
turbo intake. Lay the PCV hoses over
to the driver side of the truck.
Step 14: Remove the turbo vane
actuator solenoid connector and set
aside.
Step 15: Loosen the band clamp on
the turbo intake mouthpiece and
remove.

Step 16: Remove the intake bridge.
Step 17: Remove coolant line from
the EGR cooler and the firewall and
set aside.

Step 18: Using a 12mm socket,
remove the two nuts and two bolts
connecting the EGR cooler to the
up-pipe.
Step 19: Using a 14mm socket
remove the two bolts on the front of
the EGR cooler and remove the
cooler.
Step 20: Clean the up-pipe sealing
surface to ensure a proper seal.
Step 21: Install the up-pipe blocker
plate and gasket. Use the two
M8x1.25-30mm bolts on the bottom
and the M8x1.25-20mm bolts on the
top.

Step 22: Install the 20” hose on the
two open coolant ports and secure
with supplied hose clamps.
Step 23: Place the standoff in the
former location of the EGR actuator
and use the factory bolts to retain it.
(Make sure the coolant line bracket is
retained by the center-most bolt used
to fasten the standoff in place.)

Step 24: Clean the sealing surface of
the intake bridge. Install the
supplied gaskets and intake block off
plate using four of the M8x1.2520mm bolts.
Step 25: Reinstall the intake bridge
on the stand off and retain to the
standoff using two M8x1.25-20mm
bolts. (Make sure to reinstall the wiring
harness bracket on the intake horn
stud.)
Step 26: Reinstall the CAC boot on the intake bridge.
Step 27: Reinstall the turbo intake mouthpiece. Do not tighten.
Step 28: Reinstall the PCV on the passenger side valve cover and into the intake mouthpiece.
Step 29: Reinstall the turbo vane actuator solenoid connector.
Step 30: Reinstall the intake pipe from the mouthpiece to the air filter box. Tighten both ends then tighten
the mouthpiece.
Step 31: Reinstall the resonator and PCV tube.
Step 32: Ensure the radiator drain plug is closed and refill the cooling system with coolant.
Step 33: Connect the battery cables.
Step 34: Start the truck and check for leaks.
Step 35: Drive the truck to further check for coolant leaks and check for drive pressure leaks. (A drive pressure
leak will create a squealing sound.)
