EARTHWORKS GALLERY August 1 will be a Milestone Day
for Earthworks Gallery! We opened our doors in July of
1992, right after the Folkmoot Parade finished. We
thought it was might neighborly & nice of everyone to
"throw a parade for us"! Of course, we just had good
timing! Now we're hoping that our good timing will
continue as we pass the keys & ownership of Earthworks
Gallery on. Suzy Johnson will be stepping down as owner/
partner of the gallery & handing all of the ownership to her
dear friend & current business partner, Elisa Holder.
You all know Elisa! She's the dynamic, loving & multi
talented "red head" who has been running the gallery ever
since Suzy Johnson had to move away nearly 7 years
ago. It's about time that Elisa gets all of the credit for those
years of determination, commitment & hard work!
You also know Elisa as a very talented Fine Art Painter, dear
friend & fellow Waynesville native! She's very excited &
totally enthusiastic about this expanded venture of
hers. Always keeping an eye out for new artists & finding great new
work from her current camp of craftsman, artists, jewelers & vendors,
Elisa will be focused on bringing beautiful new work into the gallery.
Suzy will leave a huge piece of her heart & soul with Earthworks, as she
& her family started the gallery from scratch back in 1992. She loves
Waynesville, Earthworks, her loyal friends & customers and all of the
great artists she's met through the years. She will continue to supply the
gallery with her handcrafted beaded jewelry, if Elisa still has space for
it! Suzy's FourElements BeadWorks continues to feed her soul & fulfill
the creative space that running Earthworks Gallery did for these past 23
years. 21 N Main St 828-452-9500 earthworksgalleries.com
