4th of July Party!
Keep Austin Weird Fest & 5K
Where: Veterans Pocket Park at 404 Atlanta Street
When: Saturday, 3pm—10pm
What: Anything is possible at this decade-old Austin
extravaganza! Run, skip or race through the streets of
downtown Austin wearing the wackiest costume. Unofficially
known as "the slowest 5K you will ever run," this race is
designed for amusement and fun.

What: Celebrate the
Independence Day holiday!
Celebrate the United States’
Independence Day with TIEP.
We will have hot dogs
(vegetarian available), watermelon and fun games.
Austin Symphony in the Park
Where: The Long Center Lawn
When: Sunday, 7:30pm
What: In its 14th summer season, these free ensemble concerts take
place in the Hartman Concert Park in front of the Long Center City
Terrace and run on Sunday evenings from June 5th through August
28th (except July 3rd)7:30 p.m. A gift from the Hartman Family
Foundation, these concerts are presented to the Austin community in
thanks for its continued, generous support. Each Sunday a different
ensemble of the Austin Symphony will be featured at the new
Hartman Park, located on the grounds of the Long Center for the
Performing Arts, performing music from jazz and light classical to
pops selections and film scores. Concertgoers are encouraged to
bring a picnic dinner and blanket and make it a group outing.

UT Students will be here every Wednesday to help you
practice your conversation skills. This won’t cost you anything
extra except for your time! Come practice your English

Sure Thing
Where: Austin Java. 1206 Parkway
When: Saturday, 7:30pm
What: Sure Thing: Austin's Best Free, Weekly Comedy Show
SURE THING is a FREE weekly showcase at the original Austin
Java Parkway, every Saturday at 8. Headliners include performers
seen on Comedy Central, Conan, Letterman, and Funniest Person in
Austin Winners, as well as the city's best comics on the rise, plus
special out-of-town guests! Austin Java provides full service in the
stage area- wine/beer/sangria, and delicious food while you laugh!
