Worsted weight acrylic or cotton yarn in white or pastel colors -­‐ 40 grams Size 8 needles Gauge = 4 sts to inch and 4 rows to inch 2 matching ribbons cut18 inches in length Directions for Small Cast on 36 stitches Row 1-­‐3: knit across Row 4: K2, YO, *K2Tog, YO, K2.* Repeat * to last 6 stitches. K2Tog, YO, K2, YO, K2. Next Row: Continue knitting every row until piece measures 8 inches. Repeat Row 4. Next Row Knit across. At start of next two rows bind off 7 stitches each end. Continue knitting for 4 more inches. Then knit 1, purl 1, for two rows. Finishing Bind off stitches. Turn right sides together stitch hood seam closed or do a 3-­‐needle bind off if you prefer. Weave in ends. Feel free to embellish the outer edge with a simple crochet. Take ribbon and weave through holes created at neck and feet area. Pull through.
