The 2015 „Wagner in Budapest” Opera Festival will
again feature the world famous The Ring of the Nibelung tetralogy. You will see returning regular performers and outstanding Wagner singers, Judit Németh,
Tünde Szabóki, Iréne Theorin, Petra Lang, Waltraud
Meier, Christian Franz, Gerhard Siegel and Walter
Fink. This is going to be the first time you can enjoy
Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman, with the title role sung
by the perennial James Rutherford, while Mary Wiedemann plays and sings Bernadett.
Volt Festival is situated in Sopron, one of the most
beautiful Hungarian cities and a beloved touristic
destination. The festival venue is close to the Hungarian-Austrian border, only 60 kms from Vienna and
80 kms from Bratislava. Although Volt attracts over
100,000 fans each year, it still managed to maintain a
special „family” atmosphere. This is the right place to
meet open-minded and friendly youngsters, all in love
with music.
Balaton sound is one of Europe’s largest open air electronic music festivals. Held annually since 2007 on the
southern bank of Lake Balaton, it features live acts and
DJ’s from all around the world, from established artist
to new names. The event is co-created by the organizers
of Sziget Festival. The fact that the event is held on the
shore of the largest lake in Central Europe in mid-summer, its twenty-hour music schedule, and the line-up
gain it significant public interest.
