v Although Sorrento is not actually along the Amalfi Coast (as some of the towns like Positano, Amalfi,
Ravello or Vietri sul Mare are), it is nowadays considered as part of it by default and one of the best
hubs to explore the area. It is reached by a regular service of boats and hydrofoils which connect it
to Naples, Capri and the other small towns on the coast.
v There is no train service to travel along the Amalfi Coast; the only ways to travel along the coast is
by bus, boat or car.
v A common misconception about the Amalfi Coast is that it is a beach (something we tend to equate
with the word coast). The Amalfi Coast does in fact have some towns on the beach and waterfront,
but it also includes towns high up in rocky cliffs way above the beach.
v Amalfi was one of the first places in Europe to ever make paper.
v Distances:
- Naples International airport: 1hr from Sorrento, 1hr 20min from Positano or Amalfi
- Capri: 20min from Sorrento, 40min from Positano or Amalfi
- Pompei: 1hr from Sorrento, 1 hr 20min from Positano or Amalfi
Do not be concerned about the transfer time, the scenery is so beautiful that it becomes a very
enjoyable journey. Of course if budgets allow, we can also transfer guests by helicopters directly

Day 2 | Explore the Coast
Tour the Coast by VESPA or Vintage Car
Onboard the world famous Vespas, you will travel along the characteristic curves of the coastline where,
from the small villages, you can admire the majestic landscape famous around the world. With appropriate
stopovers, you can happily chat and take photographs as we proceed along the route from Sorrento to
Minori, through Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. It will be an unforgettable experience and an anchanting
journey through the beautiful landscapes, with artisan traditions and local cuisine.

Day 2 | Unusual Experiences along the Coast
Follow in the footsteps of Richard Wagner, Miro and Greta Garbo
The village of Ravello is open to walkers but closed to cars. Discover its numerous palaces and
villas that have now become paradisiac hotels. The most sumptuous one is the beautiful Palazzo
Avino, overlooking the Bay of Salerno.

Be a Cave Explorer
You can reach the Grotta dello Smeraldo with an elevator or by boat from Amalfi. Then, you climb
into a small boat to float in between the spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.

Follow the Path of the Gods
The Sentiero degli Dei is a popular hiking trail, known for its panoramic route at an altitude of
800m. It goes through the entire coast, from Bomerano to Nocelle, flirting with the abyss.

Day 2 | Dine in Positano
Positano is a ‘must stop’ for dinner. This small paradise, that seems to have kept its sixties charm
and character, attracts the trendy crowd of Naples and numerous luxury boats. Discover one of the
many fish restaurants right on the beach….. Need a restaurant with a view?

Day 3 | Visit Capri on a Private Gulet
The island is easily accessible by boat and perfect for a day trip.
Reach Anacapri by the local colorful taxis (an experience per se) and admire the amazing
views…….

Day 3 | Visit Capri on a Private Gulet
CAPRI ISLAND ON A CAICCO** Regatta to Capri
Guests will be met by the guide at the hotel and transfered to the port of Sorrento to board the Caicco where they
will cruise to Capri. During the cruise drinks can be offered and we can stop for a swim.
We will see the beautiful coast of the Monte Tiberio and the bay of Mater Matermania and continue towards the
Faraglioni and many other beautiful small bays. We end in Capri where lunch will be served in one of the
charming local restaurants.
**The largest Caicco can accommodate up to 38 pax (incl staff)
In Capri we can organise a scooter tour with a stop in Anacapri or visit the Blue Grotto in the traditional local
boats (gozzo)

Day 4 | Pompei! A ‘Must See’ in the Area
The magical, rarefied air, the amphitheater set for lunch, the views of its buildings still intact, perfectly
preserved under a blanket of ash from the eruption of Vesuvius …all this gives you the feeling of being in
a city still alive – imagine the excavations privately reserved, imagine lunch (or dinner) among the ruins!

Day 5 | Last minute shopping before……..
Though a world away from Italy’s shopping capital of Milan, the Amalfi Coast’s Sorrento, Capri and Positano
are home to some of the country’s most famous merchandise: limoncello, floaty skirts, leather sandals and
pottery to name just a few. If you’re looking for designer Italian clothing or jewelry, head to the streets
surrounding Piazza Tasso in Sorrento. Stroll Via Cristoforo Colombo in Positano for a pair of famed leather
sandals. For more artisan vendors, limoncello shops and ceramics typical of the Amalfi Coast, take time to
stroll through one of the smaller villages, such as Vietri sul Mare in Salerno.
