LSV - LIGHT STRIKE VEHICLE
The Light Strike Vehicle (LSV) is an air-certified ground mobility platform for the V-22
Osprey Tiltrotor aircraft. A member of the family of Internally Transportable Vehicles
(ITV), the LSV offers unmatched agility, mobility and payload capacity. Fitted with either
the M2 .50 cal or Mk 19 machine-gun at the rear gunners ring, the LSV is designed to
carry adequate fuel, water, ammunition, and food for 3-day mission needs, while safely
transporting a crew of four.

smoothbore ammunition.
The EFSS expands the maneuver commander’s choices of fire-support
capability against an array of targets including light-armored, motorized,
and dismounted personnel; command and control systems; and indirect
fire systems. The system’s Prime Mover vehicle along with the 120mm

towed rifled mortar is designed to be internally transportable in the
MV-22 Osprey, CH-53, C-130 and the C-5 aircraft.
120MM AMMUNITION SUITE
The EFSS 120mm ammunition suite consists of four
The Expeditionary Fire Support System is comprised of two Prime Mover

provides greater lethality, accuracy and range over currently
fielded ammunition.
PRIME MOVER
- IM compliant, with an accurate and effective range of 8.2 km.
The Prime Mover plays an important role in the Expeditionary Fire Support System. The factory-built frame-up vehicle

300 miles enhancing the system’s cross-country mobility for indirect fire support operations.
- Precision Extended Range Munitions (PERM), GPS guided
out to 17 km (In development).
PRIME MOVER FEATURES
- Air-Ride, controlled height, adjustable
suspension with a maximum ground
clearance of 14 inches.
- Four Wheel Steering (4WS) for
maximum maneuverability and easy
loading and unloading off the MV-22.
- Roll Over Protection System (ROPS)
that folds and stows when onboard
the MV-22.
- Four cylinder turbo-charged 2.8 liter
diesel engine capable of running on
JP-8 fuel; and a four-speed automatic
transmission.
- Vehicle weight of 3900 pounds.
- The Central Tire Inflation System allows
the operator to adjust tire pressure
while the vehicle is in motion across
changing terrain.
- NAVAIR certified
