Photo event under the Tuscan sun
June 10th 2008,
10 o’clock: take possession of the village
Ten o’clock: the army of TheDarkroom’s photographers will arrive in the village and take
possession of the main square. From now till evening we’ll cover any little brick of Montefioralle.
Set up the photo studio and start taking pictures of the locals. How will the locals like
to be part of the project? How will they behave in front of our lenses, under the photo set
in town? Demonstrations of Polaroid transfers, emulsion lift and Polapan will be executed
on the kind people of the village. Special equipment set up on location will allow us to
make Polaroid transfer on the square, under the eyes of Montefioralle.
An other part of our army will gather landscapes pictures of the beautyful Chianti
countryside around operating with our large format cameras, while other photographers
will take architectural shots in town. Backstage photographers and photojournalists will
be committed telling the story of the event.
Rolleiflex 6006 and TLR, Mamiya 6x7 and 6x9, Fujica 6x9, Hasselblad,
Toyo-View 4x5 and 5x7 and Toyo-Field: these are the weapons put by TheDarkroom in
the project to report the images we are looking for.
An event forever: color slides, color negatives, black and white films
and Polaroids will make still frames of this unique project for uniqe portfolios.
Meeting point at TheDarkroom at 9:00 oclock, ready with all of your own equipments and lots of films. If you cannot come at TheDarkroom, we’ll meet you in
Greve in Chianti at 10:00 (you can arrive there by SITA bus).
